Compact and made not plastic junk.
The case on this is great. I cut out some of the foam to better fit the put together rod and reel and it make a perfect grab and go gear set. Love this rod and case.

A Decent, Highly Portable Rod
Qualifiers: I'm not a huge fisherman and I have not yet used this rod for actual fishing. I bought it to take on a canoeing excursion in the Canadian Yukon, so I needed something compact, lightweight and affordable. This rod fits the bill nicely. There are 8 segments, including the handle, with 6 segments having eyelets. The rod extends to nearly 8 feet in length (237 cm). It's quite flexible. The fixtures for attaching the reel seem solid. Overall the workmanship is pretty nice and the pricepoint was acceptable. This will fit my needs perfectly, I think. All that's left is to catch some fish!
