Interstate Leather Men's Basic Vest

"Fit as expected" with a caveat: Order bigger size than your normal. I wear L/XL and I ordered the XXL for this and fits OK. For the life of me I don't understand why we're having such big problems with getting the right sizes from so many online sellers. Where do they get their useless measurements?. When I go to a US store (dpt or otherwise) I find what I need in my usual size; I don't need to buy an XXL. The sizes are pretty much standard for American males. Recently I bought an XXL from Leatherup (Xelement) via Amazon, and that was like a MED! What the hell... OK, enough of this pet peeve of mine.As for the vest. It fits snugly. It's soft. It's well made--I've been using it for a couple weeks now, riding my motorcycle as an inside vest or over a tee. It blocks the wind fine and it's comfortable. Looks good too, though to me it better be functional to pass my standards.I also got the Long, which was a good thing since it ends right above my jeans. I'm 5f 11.5', 210 lbs. Good length for me. The Reg would be too short in my opinion. I know, some people like shorter vests, but I don't want it just for fashion. I want coverage.It has 4 pockets very descent size. The "gun" pocket is stupid. Basically it's a deep pocket (like the other inside one) with a strap within. Unless you have Dirty Harry's Magmum, then it's useless for that purpose. Otherwise the 2 deep inside pockets are nice. The vest's liner is one of the better ones I've seen, including those of more expensive leather jackets.Had a strong leather smell but it's almost faded by now.

I have wanted a leather vest for a long time but never found one I liked. Of course it's hard to tell when you shop online so I made good use of the reviews here. Based on these reviews I decided this was possibly the closest to the vest I am looking for so I purchased it.This is a great vest. I am very pleased with the quality, the feel, the smell and the softness of the leather. The construction seems to be very good but I have only had it for a few days so I can't attest to durability yet. Basically I agree with another reviewer, as soon as I opened the package and put it on I was amazed at the value. I've seen $100+ vests that are not as good.I followed the advice of most reviewers and purchased one size larger than I would have. I wear a 44 short suit coat and I ordered a XXL vest. The vest fits great and it does cover my belt. Some vests may by nature be shorter than this.There is only one item of disappointment, and it's a major one for me. The description says two inside pockets. I'm a pocket person, the more the better, and the two inside pockets was one of the selling points for me. The vest I received has only one inside pocket. Luckily it's on the left side which is appropriate for me, a right handed person. If not for this I would have given it 5 stars.

Ordered a 4XL tall based on reviews info. I normally wear 2XL tall. It fits well on length and slightly wide, enough to wear over a flanel hoodie. If I would reorder today, I would get a 3XL.The Good:- Good quality leather, a bit on the heavy side. The stitching is solid and the interior fabric is nice.- The "buttons" are heavy duty. They close firmly and look nice.- The finishing is casual - dressy. The vest can be used riding or with a dress shirt without rising eyebrows (not to many, anyway).- The exterior pockets are comfy, the interior ones are well placed. They are plenty big for even the largest and thickest "ipad", with interior straps.- The leather is solid and it will not contour the pocket contents too easily.- Does smell good!The Meh:- There is an orange Interstate accent stitched on the front right pocket. Is not too obvious but I would rather not have it.- The straps in the interior are curiosly positioned.- It does ride up when sitting. But that's the price you have to pay for the stiffer leather.I would order again.

Very nice vest. Not real thick but not too thin either. Good quality leather. I have a bit of a gut and normally wear XL but based on other reviews I purchased a 3X. Fits good, can get all buttons snapped but should have gone up one more size. I was hoping that it would at least fit over a hoodie but I won't be able to wear anything thicker than a shirt under it.

Good quality leather vest-- This is substantial leather, not the thin stuff which tears the first time you brush against something rough. It is so stiff that it will ride up when you sit down, if you select one as long as I did. That is, there will be a gap between your shoulders and the top of the vest. I bought it long because I did not want my shirt showing under the vest and above my belt buckle. It fits well when I stand. The snaps are heavy duty, but not unattractive.There are four pockets: two on the outside, open at the top (no flap, zipper or snap) and two inside with a single snap securing the opening which parallels the vest-opening. The outside pockets are large -- they hold a Galaxy Note 3 with nothing showing. The inside pockets are larger.Be careful with the size. You will not want it to be too large around.

I ORDERED THIS ACCORDING TO INFORMATION ON FEEDBACK ALOT OF THE FEED BACKS SAID ONE SIZE UP SO I DID .I AM 6 FT WEIGH 220 WITH A 52 IN CHEST AND 36 WAIST . I DID USE CHAT ON AMAZON THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO VEST TO FIT BOTH CHEST AND BELLY SO I WENT WITH CHEST SIZE IT WAS TO BIG SO I WAS GOING TO SEND IT BACK .A FRIEND SAW IT AND WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE WEIGHT AND QUALITY SO HE BROUGHT IT FROM ME .I REORDERED A 2XX TALL .THE QUALITY IS IMPRESSIVE THE ONLY THING IS THE HOLSTER ARE ONLY LOOPS INSIDE VEST POCKET FOR GUN BARREL.I DID PUT A PISTOL IN IT AND WIFE SAID SHE COULD NOT TELL IT WAS THERE .9MM TAURUS COMPACT .....note this does have a holster but it is not a secure holster i bent over to pet a dog and pistol fell out of vest .will work but not a secure fit
