Great Camera and Monitor for a Great Price
I got this for my Mom's car (2014 Ford Focus); this is the camera and the display. We live in the city and parallel parking is a must and having a backup camera makes life so much easier (I have one in my Escape and it constantly amazes me how close a car looks in the mirrors compared to the actual distance (as seen in the camera).).Installation was as expected, not fun! I will say that I was proud of myself the camera on the car itself looks great! It looks professional, I included some photos! I knew that it would be near impossible to get a professional (native) look for the screen. so I do not love it, but it does the job.I used the hardware of the trunk's closing mechanism to run the wire and it worked really well (I did have to take the right side of the trunk off of its connector (not loving that), but it did allow me to run the cable in the opening arm which resulted in a clean install). I also was able to use the button for the trunk release and the lip of the trunk to run the cable and hook in the camera without having to drill into the car (which I was happy about). I put the camera right above the license place under the Ford emblem, which is where the camera is on my Escape, this made the camera look native to the car.I used those splicer cables locks (that go around existing cables and splices into them; they have them at auto places and Walmart and probably online, but they are really cheap so a real store may be a better option) this allowed me to splice into the hot cable of the reverse light for power. You will need to run power to the display, I find it much easier (in my opinion) to splice into stuff like the reverse light than into anything under the dash; so I ran a cable from the reverse light splice to the monitor for power; I also had to run the video one as well.I got the camera installed and put the back seat down and ran the video cable under the plastic moulding along the side of the car all the way along the driver's side. I than ran the power cable along the same route (I ran the video first since it is fatter).I put the monitor on the left side of the dash, as I have a GPS unit in the center (would life not be great if I could just use that for the monitor...). The monitor has two video inputs which means more cabling that has to go behind the screen (it is too short to run under the dash and make the connections their (you can see this in the photo I added). The monitor is lightweight and holds on nicely using a sticky pad. The arm is very flexible and with a large radius of tuning so you can mount it in multiple ways.I got everything hooked up and it worked! I do not love having a few cables behind the display, but they are too short to run anywhere else, you do not see them from within the car the way I have them. So I guess it is will work. The camera has lines on it to help with distance and this makes backing up out of parking lots easier since you can see in both directions pretty far and this makes parallel parking much easier since you can easily see how far you got before you hit the other car.I am very happy this, I got it for about $40 and it works great! I was able to install it myself (I consider myself pretty mechanical) and it was not super expensive! For an affordable solution to having a backup camera this is great choice!

but overall when you consider the price I was pretty happy. Pros
There are a few pros and cons I've had with this product, but overall when you consider the price I was pretty happy.Pros:*It works*Nothing "broke" or became damaged during my setup. The parts don't have the strength of steel but they're pretty sturdy.*The distance lines are impressively accurate (at least for my car).*It looks cool inside your car AND outside to see a little camera above your license plate.*The night picture is viewable*The priceCons:ITS PAL - WHERE DOES IT SAY THIS? I wish i knew that.*The wires were way too short*The connection is poor to medium poor. I've made sure it wasn't the way i had the wiring setup. Thin horizontal lines seem to fall from top to bottom like an old CRT computer monitor.*The accessory connectors are pretty difficult to place somewhere with such short of cord length that you aren't able to easily connect/disconnect accessory devices such as dvd players, etc.*Occasionally doesn't work. This thing doesn't seem to like the heat for me. For the longest time i was pulling my hair out looking for how i could possibly have a loose connection. I eventually learned that in high temperatures it just refuses to turn on.I'm not trying to bash the product, but if I had read some of the points I listed off above while I was considering purchasing the product, I might of spent a few more bucks to get a little better quality one. I'm still pretty happy with it though. It surely does its job.

Great picture for a few minutes then the monitor starts ...
Bought this last year to use as a rear-view camera for my trailer but I didn't manage to get it installed until this summer, using an RF link to get the signal from the trailer to the truck. Great picture for a few minutes then the monitor starts working intermittently. Tried various combinations with and without the RF links and with a different camera and unfortunately the problem is definitely the monitor. Probably works ok if you don't run it continuously.

Works as advertised, an OK product
I have had this installed on my 2007 Honda Civic for about two months now. I took my time installing the device, and did not encounter any significant problems. It works pretty well. Sometimes the dashboard-mounted LCD screen is a bit washed out by the Texas sun, but that was expected. It works as expected. I hope it lasts a long time.

Good choice for the money
Good choice for the money. When I bench tested this unit I found the image to be upside down. I took the camera apart (voiding the warranty?) and inverted the camera circuit board rather than go through the return/re-buy process. All good after that. The picture is clear and bright and the night vision seems adequate. The installation instructions are just a simple diagram. Easy to follow. No mention of the button controls on the back of the unit, tho. (select, +, - ) Time will tell, but I would buy another one for my other vehicle if it holds up.

Easy hook up
Easy hook up ,following directions. Monitor works fine, camera does also, with the exception of the leds on the camera. Do not want to uninstall to return.

It was clear and worked great at night
I installed this on our 06 Altima because the backglass was hard to see out of because we have sun shades for our daughter that sits rear facing. I did have to drill some holes simply because I put the tv in dash and had to remove center console to wire to cig lighter. For camera I had to take insert off the tag bolts to and drill holes for wires to route through. All in all, it took about 8 hrs to install but mainly because I put tv in dash. It was clear and worked great at night. It never fogged up or became blurry.

Flickers after a few minutes
When the screen gets warm or is on a little while it starts flashing off and on. When it works the picture is fine but i like to have i ton in close traffic and after maby 5 minutes it starts flickering until I have to turn it off. The hookup cable should have been a little longer I barely had enough to stretch under my truck.

Don't expect super HD video quality
Easy to install and picture quality is as expected from a cheap back up camera kit which includes the screen! Works great on my expedition. The only thing to note is that the camera viewing angle is rather tight. Those with larger vehicles may want a wide angle lens kit compared to this one.

Very good Backup Camera System
I received this camera rather quickly. I just had it installed and I would rate it 5 stars but the LED lights on the back of the camera don't turn on when I'm in reverse. Luckily it was mounted near the license plate light so I still get an image when reversing in the dark but I would have liked the lights on the camera to come on like their supposed to but all in all, great camera for the price. I would recommend this camera to anybody looking for a quality backup camera system for their car or truck. If the lights on the camera don't come on than just mount the camera near the license plate. I would recommend buying a GPS Dash mount for the monitor but use some tape because the mount tends to slide when going over bumps. Also the RCA cable is more than long enough for a Car but a Truck might need an longer RCA cable.

Work fine but funky color
Work fine, install is pretty easy, only thing is the color are funky, green is purple amd red is sorta blue on screen. Despite that it is working fine, not HD but fine!

it works...
low price, adequate wire length, image good but colour not good - shows grass & trees as grey as the pavement.Careful when moving the spindle attaching the base to the back of the display as it's bit fragile. The shade hood that snaps over the display falls off..I glued mine on.
