Valid Pros & Cons, but WOULD STILL PURCHASE IN THE END
I would give this a 5 star, but it doesn't quite make it and I'd give it a 3 star, but I really do like it...so this is why it lands a 4-star rating:Size Note: I ordered a medium to go over my medium sized walking boot and it fit perfect.Pros:It has a zip on the back making it easy to put over my boot.Fit was a nice fit over the walking boot.Came timely upon ordering.I have used it the month of February in Kansas weather...some snowy days, some wet, but several windy and cold, it did keep my toes (that couldn't be covered with a sock while in my boot) from being wet or cold. From a style perspective, I could wear this (I ordered black as that is what I saw offered) with my skinny jeans (aka not boot cut) tucked in my walking boot with this zipped over top and a black boot on the good foot and it looked slightly less "gimpy" than the exposed walking boot...cuz ya know, style matters when your hobbling along :)Cons:I think the quality of the material is rather thin and cheap given that it is essentially a "boot gaiter" for walking boots.Mine did wear a hole by week two or three of daily use (while walking on a sidewalk), but was easily remedied by black duct tape...but for the price of this cover, my $1.88 duct tape fix shouldn't have been necessary. As a disclaimer though, there is a piece of Velcro in the back by the base/heel of the cover that is suppose to be stuck to the base of your walking boot and I chose not to use this...maybe saving me from getting the hole had I used this feature.Price should be closer to $15.00-$20.00 in my opinionNot sure in harsher weather (say Boston winter) that this would last more than a few weeks to a month, but again, perhaps in that situation, definitely use the Velcro pieces to stabilize the cover from falling off the heel and slipping underneath. At the end of the day it gets a 4-Star because it was a VERY HELPFUL piece for me and truly, if I were wearing this much longer and felt the wear and tear warranted a new one...I'd still consider buying another despite my valid cons.

If the boot fits…
It is unfortunate enough to be in a walking boot, but at the beach it is near torture. I thought if I got sand in my boot, it would remain there for the rest of its sorry existence. Luckily I found this cover, and it made my experience as enjoyable as could be possible while lugging a unsightly black ankle weight of Satan around. The first time putting it on was a little tricky, and I thought it wasn’t going to fit, but after it slipped on I had no trouble afterwards in putting it on or removing it. It kept the sand out, and prevented water from entering, although I only allowed an inch or so of water near it as I did not wish to test this further and wear a salty, soggy boot for the rest of the day. The material held up wonderfully to 3-1/2 weeks of walking on the sand, including a rocky path to and from the beach. It was easily rinsed with the hose afterward and hung to dry for its next use. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for protecting surgical boot, a little tricky to figure out at first
My mom broke her toe and two bones in her foot, so the doctor put her in a tall surgical boot. Unfortunately, we had our family camping trip already booked and planned, but she didn't want to ruin her surgical boot. She also didn't want to miss out on the fun. She came across this cover and ordered it. It came just in time (an hour before we left) and she was so relieved. I helped put it over her boot when we arrived at the camp ground. It was tricky at first and took a few attempts to figure out how it was supposed to work/fit. But after that first time it was easy to take on and off and and the zipper was easy too. It was really dusty at our campground, and the cover did its job. The cover got dirty, but her boot stayed clean. She washed the cover when we returned home and it's clean again.

Pay Attention - Does not cover bottom of boot
I bought this to keep my boot clean after Achilles surgery. They did note in the product description that it does not cover the bottom of the boot. I missed that when ordering it. The cover adds little value. The main reason I wanted it was to keep the bottom clean. Since this cover won't do that, I will not be using it. It was just a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and buy a cheap slip on cover, also available on Amazon. Also, the design is not great. They want you to use the adhesive in the bottom of the cover to keep it tight on the boot. That does not work well when you take the boot on and off each day. Clearly the designers have never needed to use a walking boot or cover.

A lifesaver for an Oregonian.
I live in Portland, OR. It's fall. It rains. A lot. I don't know what I would have done without this cover! I find that it fits my walking boot and overlaps a bit under the sole, keeping water out and my foot warm. I'm concerned that I'll wear through the part which wraps around, though, and am buying another one as a backup. However, the material seems very tough, so I'm confident it'll last a good long while. I definitely recommend buying this if you're booted and facing rain.Update a few weeks later:The cover is holding up well, with very minimal wearing around the heel area where it contacts the ground. In heavy rain with lots of puddles, I've had some seepage into the front of my boot as water gets under the lip of the cover and up in the foam under my toes. The material remained waterproof, though, even in very heavy rain. In normal rain with just wet pavement, it's kept my boot dry. Because it's like wearing a heavy raincoat on your leg, it gets hot.I don't think it would work well in wet or deep snow based on my experience with heavy rain.

Good cast cover, pay attention to size of your boot.
Good rain cover for an air cast or cam walking boot. I have the United Surgical SHORT air cam (size Med) and the TALL cover (size Med) fits over my short boot. Apparently the United Surgical boots are a bit larger than others. This works fine to cover the upper portion of the boot, but it does fit tightly around the boot. I also bought MyShoeCovers walking boot cover to fit over the bottom the boot (underneath). The pair of them work well to keep out heavy rain. For a light shower, all you may need is this covering over the top.I sent MyRecovers the size of my boot, so they may be reworking the pattern to be a bit larger to cover United Surgical boots.
