Within the first week, one of the sides stopped charging.

Didn't work for me.
I have 3 Ryobi batteries. Two I bought last week and one old one. It would not charge the old one and one of the new ones. The other new one would only charge to 2/4 bars on the battery indicator. I got a Ryobi charger at Home Depot and all worked fine.
