Wagon Train: Season 7

"Wagon Train" Season 7--my favorite
Some truly wonderful episodes here. You can find your favorite. The one called "The Whipping" I watched 3 times, and cried. Very moving--especially for any son who got whipped, or for a father who whipped his children. Very sobering examination on use of corporal punishment for parents and children to watch. Terry Wilson is superb as a man who breaks down--and recovers by really humbling himself.

Excellent and popular western series from the 60's.
An excellent and popular western series from the 60's. Season seven was the only one filmed in color. The stories and arguments it presents are varied. Buy this collection for the performances of prominent actor Robert Fuller. You can see restoration in the image and color photography and they are of good quality, in some excellent chapters. The picture quality of the Wagon Train DVDs is superior to that of the DVDs of the Laramie series in which Robert Fuller also starred.Una excelente y popular serie western de los años 60's. Nostalgic and jist gull dern fun'er 'n a saddlebag of horney toads
5 stars for nostalgia. Should be an additional star for it being colorized. Better then when I watched it as it was being presented on B&W television years ago. Fun old-fashioned western delight. Of course the acting is not up to the performances of today's stars, but these were the stars of yesteryear. And they were good enough to last in their roles past their lifetimes. The price is right, less than $20 when I bought it on Amazon, and that means less than 50¢ per hour as this Complete Season Seven of Wagon Train contains over forty hours of shoot 'em, fight 'em, pioneer and cowboy delight. Best when watched while eating a bowl of popcorn, just like it happen back in the day.Now to move on and try some of the B&W seasons. Happy trails to you.

Wagon train season 7
I bought this DVD set because I am a Robert Fuller fan. Unfortunately he broke his leg during the filming of the Santiago Quesada story so there were quite a few episodes that were 'Coop' light. However, if you are a fan of his it is still well worthwhile purchasing this set of DVDs. The episodes he features in are very good, with lots of action, some light moments, dramatic moments and the quality is good too considering how old the episodes are, in fact I wouldn't complain about the quality at all. The episodes that Coop is in after Fuller's accident give us some nice close ups of the actor due to the necessity of having to film him either sitting down or from the waist up.If you are purely a Western fan with no particular leaning towards a favourite actor then I think you will get a lot of enjoyment out of this series. Some episodes are a little quirky but very entertaining. You get a good mix of action, drama and again some light moments. I would definitely recommend this DVD set. I am hoping season 8 will eventually be released, too.

Love old westerns.
I wanted this series because I loved the show as a kid & young adult. I wanted the series too because in one of the episodes there was a character named Sandra Cummings which is my real name. She is red haired as am I.

Star interviews add to the value of this DVD. Good Value for fans of Wagon Train, Robert Fuller and Denny Miller
This DVD includes all of the season 7 90 minute episodes in color. The publicity should list Robert Fuller instead of Robert Horton. Robert Horton left the series at the end of season 5. Robert Fuller joined Wagon Train at the start of season 7, just after his previous series, Laramie ended. One of neat features of this DVD are the informative interviews with Robert Fuller (who played Cooper Smith) and Scott Denny Miller who played Duke Shannon. I ordered this DVD and the DVD for season 8 because I am a Robert Fuller fan. I enjoyed the behind the scenes stories thatRobert Fuller and Denny Miller shared in their interviews. I now watch the episodes with more depth.
