While the brackets are very sturdy, after installation, there is a little bit more "slop" once locked in the open position than I thought there would be. I used them on a 20" leg, I would imagine this issue would be even more pronounced on a longer leg application.If you are looking for no movement at all from the bracket, there are probably not the ones for you.

These brackets worked great for my application. I have a workbench hinged to a wall, to fold down when not in use. I attached 2 x 4's to the brackets to allow the two legs on front of bench to fold into a locked position to facilitate folding and storage.Although great used in a pair for my applicaiton, the brackets do have play in them and would not work well on a free standing table, as previous reviewer indicated.

I bought 20 of these in order to build 5 tables. What a waste of money. They came with no installation manual but they look pretty straightforward. Screw the hinge to the table, screw the leg to the hinge. Stand the table up and it's like a baby giraffe trying to stand for the first time. I am using 23" 2X2 poplar which should be sturdy enough but no go. I suppose I could return the unopened hinges for a refund but it is not worth my time or energy. If you buy them I hope you have better luck than I did. I would have rated them less than one star if I was allowed to.

I used these folding leg brackets to build a table in my garage. I needed a table that would fold down along the side of the garage so we could still drive our cars in. I built the table out of plywood and 2 2x4's. Brackets worked great! Now I have an extra table for work around the garage. It also comes in handy when we're trying to repot plants for the garden.

These brackets do their job...if you only consider that job holding legs onto the table. If you need the legs to lock in place for safety, these brackets won't cut it for you. Within 5 days, all 4 locks had broken off. For a lack of any better options on the market, I am continuing to use these brackets. However, I won't let my children anywhere near the table...for fear of them knocking a leg out & the table flap coming smashing down on them.

Folding leg brackets allow tables to be created any size and the legs brackets are strong enough to hold 2x4" legs. Excellent locking mechanism for easy tip up of table and legs won't collapse when table is standing. Excellent product at a reasonable price. Product arrived as advertised, promptly with great packaging.

These are awesome. I would rate 5 stars if they were a little smothers, but they tend to get caught up and bind just a little.Also, left and right leg versions would be GREAT, so the toggle to release the legs is on the front or back on both legs, depending on how you mount them.Still these are very, very good, and well made.
