I have a 7 1/4 that Ive been using since my corded 71/4. So thats since 1993. But its too heavy to bring all the time and since 99 percent of my jobs is cutting an inch or less, I bought this and its so badass. Especially with the angle of the motor. Why use a bulldozer for a small job. Throw this in your tool kit and see the difference

Nice saw

Love the light weight. I put a thin nylon strap through the thin holes in the front of the bottom plate, wrapped it around the handle and tied it with the blade exposed at just over 3/4". I just leave it that way and mostly use it for 3/4" ply but find it very handy to use even for 1/4" plywood. (I didn't get it for a review, I paid full price). If I need to use it for a plunge cut it would take about 20 seconds to remove the nylon strap.

I removed the spring. Much easier to use.
