I call it Heartbreaker.
It was a great project. I spent a week sanding and finishing the wood. The actual build only took a few hours. The setup of the 12 string took a couple more hours because the nut had to be filed quite a bit. The 6 string nut was pretty close, so I haven't messed with it yet although it needs to come down. The parts fit together well. The wiring was well laid out, with wire colors matching and connectors that only fit together one way. Two of the plastic covers needed a little trimming to fit. The front strap button needs to be moved up to the upper horn because the guitar flops forward when I'm not holding it. It sounds good and is fun to play. I'm very happy about it!

I am really enjoying building this guitar and painting everything the way I want.

Fun to build
The instructions were not very clear on the wiring. Had to take it apart several times till I figured it out on my own. But it was fun to build, and even though the balance isn't very good it's fun to sit and play. I wouldn't bother standing and using a strap because the balance is that bad. But I do like to play it it's still fun.

More Bang For The Buck
Been playing for about 49 years and wanted the novelty of a double neck but didn't want to pay 5K for a high end. I was actually quite impressed with this. As with any DIY kit, I expected some imperfections. The only thing I had to do was sand a the edges of the frets and clean out one of the neck pockets a little bit. Other than that, it was a really smooth assembly. I did, however, replace the wiring harness with PRS pots and Switchcraft switches as well as 2 pair of SD pickups. Please note that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the electronics that come with this kit, I just have a preference to the higher gain of Seymour Duncan pups. The tuning machines are decent and do stay in tune once one has played the guitar for a while and worked the little bit of slack that may be wrapped on the the tuners. For a project guitar, this is well worth the $220 you guys are selling it for.

Great customer service. Very happy
I’m a 70 year old retired engineer and part time musician wannabe. This kit was fun and surprisingly, it sounds great. The hardest part is get it the paint the way you like it. I used a mahogany stain with several coats of spray on polyurethane. It came out great but you have to be a bit meticulous if you want good results. The biggest plus I can give this company is for the customer service. I had a couple of issues with the kit and sent an email to them. I had the answer and the fix by the next morning. The second time for a different concern was answered in the same day. This is the reason for the 5 stars. The kit was well made and everything fit and all the pre drilled holes lined up perfectly. I did throw out the strings that came with it and installed my own.The only thing that could be better in my opinion, is the instructions . There is a video that I used which was very helpful but there was no narration, only background music. This could be made better. All in all and considering the price, this is a good deal and fun to build.

Fantastic value, fun guitar
Full disclaimer, experienced luthier here: The wiring needs a little love but works ok as supplied and for $220 this is just a screaming deal. Everything is here, is neat and clean and reasonably functional as is. The supplied strings are meh, especially for the 12 string neck but with these kits I always assemble and play first to see if there are any deeper issues before I put a finish on the thing and they're a perfect throwaway set for that. At the end of the day it's hard to find anything bad to say at this price point. It sounds and looks great and is a fun and unique guitar(s). If you're reasonably adventurous and know how to hold a screwdriver and use the internet I think you can do this just fine. Every screw has a correct place, they're not labeled but take your time and think through where they go based on how many of each size you have and you'll be fine.

This is a Solid Kit for the Dollar!...However...
If you build guitars, or have a basic understanding of their construction, you will love this kit. All parts are included, well organized, the routing of the body and positioning of neck pockets, saddle and bridge posts are accurate. The quality of the body and necks blew me away and are pretty much worth the cost of the kit to begin with.A COUPLE of CAVEATS:...But not not a deal killer,#1: The wiring schematic provided with the kit is simply incorrect. Throw this away immediately!#2: The wiring harness, pickups, switches, and pots are of very poor quality. So, if you are going to all the effort to build this guitar, find an accurate wiring diagram and put some solid electronics in it (you'll thank yourself later.)That said, this kit IS a bargain. I would definitely purchase this kit again.

Great Kit!!
I love this kit! Take your time, do it right. I want to thank the company for leaving some meat on the bone so I could shape and sand the necks the way I want it. I used 220 grit sandpaper, then 400 for final sanding. stain was 3 coats of cabernet red for the SG double neck kit. the 3 coats gloss laquer. The humbuckers that come with the kit are just fine (nice clean sound)but I did dip them in wax before install. I kept the kit humbuckers on the 12 string and got Seymour Duncan JB & Jazz combo for the 6 string. the mohagany wood has a great tone. I used my own favorite strings on the 6 string D'addario 9- 42. the 12 string got Stringjoy 9's also. I use no finish on the part of the neck that bolts on the body so its wood on wood contact. and rubbed oil on the fret board (thats an important detail to do) Only one problem was 1 neck screw had a buggered head, Had to get a replacement from the dollar store. Great kit though, Im happy and I'll get another one later.
