Dirt 3 - Playstation 3

On the one hand, it's about what I expected with a lot of pretty mundane track racing. On the positive side I think the graphics and the selection and appearance of the cars you can race is nice and the parking lot events and competitions with the drifting, donuts, etc. is actually more fun that I'd imagined. However, the constant advertising to buy other events and automobiles is annoying, and even more annoying are the commentary by your "team" that constantly bombard you with these stupid little positive reinforcements (made even more annoying by British accents). Plus you can't customize any vehicles on your own and the settings of "casual" and "intermediate" feel miles apart. I've played many of the racing games on the market and own several too but the intermediate setting was very challenging I thought and the casual setting just ridiculous as all you have to do is steer slightly and the game will do the rest and you will win easily every time. I also was surprised by the lack of drifting competitions on the track competitions. It seemed restricted to parking lot drifting - I only remember one drifting track in Kenya, which was the funnest thing I remember about the game. Maybe you could buy more of the drifting tracks, but who wants to keep shelling out another $5 here and there? I paid $5 for the Japanese tracks and they were very bland and boring, so it didn't inspire me to shell out any additional money for other tracks.FINAL GRADE: C

A super fun game. The career mode is quite long and the gymkhana (spelling?) is an awesome touch to modernize rally racing and bring in a younger crowd, in general as well as in the game. Others may argue its not 'real' rally racing, but I digress...The physics are realistic, but lately alot of racing games seem to be getting too real, to the point where its hard to play and stay ahead of the Ai racers. This ones no exception, but its better than some. It takes a while to learn how to corner with any kind of speed and not slide into a ditch and/or spin out. and for more races than you should, once you spin out you're probably best starting over, even on Easy.Graphics are great, though. Variety of locations is good. and overall definitely worth getting.

The best rally game. Loads slow as heck between games otherwise graphics music and handling far superior to WRC games. They lock up some cool cars and unrtunately dont support the expansion modes anymore for some reason. Still worth every penny if you love high speed controller racing.

This game is a blast to race around the dirt without getting dirty. Dirt3 is a very fundamentally sound racer/rally game. You begin the career mode with some simple rallies and rally-cross events.As you progress the events progress in some degree of difficulty.Beginning rally stages are short with few tricky turns and gradually the difficulty of the rally stages gets harder. Some of the later hill climb events can be challenging with the extremely quick dedicated hill climb vehicles.The rally-cross events are a lot of fun as you go fender to fender with other rally-Xers. The buggy rally-cross events were especially challenging for me. Each of the vehicle and especially vehicle classes are distinct with different types of vehicles handling differently.Later Gymkhana events are introduced as is drifting. The Gymkhana events are a great change of pace from the other more traditional "rally" fare and are fun. Doing doughnuts around pylons and taking out targets in a 4 wheel drift is very satisfying and challenging. The Gymkhana events are not easy.Overall, this is a great racing/rally game and I would highly recommend it.

This game is the best, really nice graphics, great physics (except for landing when jumping, but this makes it fun to play), you are able to setup the difficulty of the game with the advance settings which is very useful when you feel that casual is too easy but the hardest level is way too much. Now it has offline two player races and can have a single race without entering career mode!!!!!!!, the Gymkhana parks are very fun to play, you can spend lots of hours just trying to do the stunts asked in just one park, and I think there are like 3. If you like cars and racing, this IS THE GAME!. When GT5 came out I was going to buy it, but it was a big deception, you can't even get out of track cause you'll hit an invisible shield (what a shame) and dirt look very bad, it disappears when you go through it . On the other hand in this game I have found no flaws. You can even upload your replays to youtube, which may take some time but it worth it.You get Rally, Rally Cross, Land Rush, Trail Blazing, Gymkhana, Baja. On asphalt, dirt and snow.Pros: Great Graphics, single race, offline multiplayer (2), physics, dirt looks, snow tracks, flash backs, you can choose between old or new cars even 60's (60's,70's,80's,90's) on some kind of races.Cons: Not so real when landing a jump(this may not seem as a con for everybody), some times the game crashes when using flash backs continuously (just like 2 times) and some times you really need to use the flashback.Look at the facebook page of dirt3, there are links to the video uploads users have done.

Over the years I have seriously considered buying the Dirt 2 game but held off. But the reviews are strong and price was attractive. So far I have absolutely no regrets. The graphics are beautiful, very GT5 like. Physics are good, and fun to see damage (e.g., side panel fly off the car). The car is easier to control in non-damage situations, and I am really happy that the controls are easily programmable and detectable since I have few difference steering wheels.We haven't got very far, but for the different beginning level tracks, weather conditions, and car/truck types, it already WOWed us!

Dirt 3 is an excellent video game, a truly worthy successor to Dirt 2, which was a digital and technological masterpiece. The vehicles in the game are very much subject to the laws of physics. One must acheive a balance between speed and centrifugal force for every curve. As in the cases of the proceeding Dirt games, accidents have consequences for vehicles. In Dirt, cars become dented and will disintegrate to the point of being undrivable - and of course- they will get dirty.

Very good handling, maybe needs a bit more rally special but the variety of the different style are very fun.

日本版に比べて全然安い！！英語できない人でも慣れるよ(｡-_-｡)

一応クリア済みです。DIRT2からCODEMASTERSの大ファンで、もちろん全て英語ですが、前作をプレーしている方なら問題なく遊べます。ゲーム内容は、RALLY、RALLYX、LANDRUSH、TRAILBLAZER、あと新要素としてGYMKAHNA、HEAD2HEAD(一対一のタイムアタック)を進めていくという感じですね。グラフィックは相変わらず美しいですし、音楽はDIRT2がアメリカンテイストのロック中心だったのに比べ、3はヨーロッパテイストの打ち込み系中心の音楽になっています。難易度に関しては、RALLY、TRAILBLAZERに関してはかなり上がったように感じます。逆にRALLYX、LANDRUSHは短いコースを多い周回で走るレースになった事もあり簡単になりました。注意点としては、PLAYSTATION STOREが未だ復旧していないのでVIPCODEを打ち込めません。VIPCODEを入力しないとオンラインで遊べないので、それが唯一の不満点ですね。
