A revolutionary movement
Once in a while in the watch industry great strides are made in movements. Movements such as the great Rolexes the good “psychos and of course the offerings from Bulova. Years ago Bulova offered a revolutionary watch called the Acutron. It was designated by the tuning fork on the watch face which Bulova uses now on all of their watches. Yaki try and prove to be a show we say slightly temperamental. But it was one of the few watches that had a completely smooth sweep of the second hand and the first to use a quartz crystal to time the movement. Fast forward to this decade and Bulova has introduced a new Acutron; the Acutron 2. Like it’s grandpa the Acutron 2 has a smooth sweep hand. Today’s version are very accurate and operate just like a quartz movement. The trick is bumping up the frequency rate to 262killohertz. This is quite unique for a modern quartz watch. Combine the unique movement, quality caseing the Bullova Acutron 2 is an astounding value.
