they work by killing rats instantly
I'm glad they're cheap enough to throw in the trash after you've dispatched an intruder. They work. Watch your fingers!

Nothing beats the Original
Over the years, many folks have tried to build a better “mousetrap”. All have failed. Nobody beats the cost, simplicity, sensitivity, and sheer deadliness of these classic traps from the OG developer of the rodent trap, Victor. I had a live trap set for weeks trying everything to catch this poor guy live to no avail. Within 24 hours of putting out one of these Victor traps, I had the big guy dead. It breaks my heart when little creatures have to die, but he was chewing, peeing, and pooping up my attic and I gave him every chance I could. My heart breaks but it’s done, and these originals got it done without fail.

Take Care! Powerful!
These traps are extremely powerful and really get the job done! I would suggest screwing them to a board for a faster kill scenario and less suffering. No one likes to have to these to kill an animal, but if they are in your barn or garage, they have to go!Don't put them anywhere a cat or small dog could be killed by them. And watch your fingers!

Hot Glue Gun Recommended
I tried many weeks and failed each day. This trap did not work with peanut butter because the rat just licked the peanut butter off, not ever applying near enough pressure to set off the trap,, or with a tootsie roll, or any bait that was recommended for me to try. I even tried cheese and a piece of pepperoni. The rat would just refuse the bait entirely, or would just pick it up and carry it away without triggering the trap! What ended up working was using a piece of what was drawing the rats in the first place... a dog kibble.I used a hot glue gun and glued it down... then placed the trap with the baited end up against a wall This forced the rat to come at the bait from the side. The rat came and tried to pull the kibble off the trap, springing the trap and killing the rat. Thanks to using a hard piece of bait AND a hot glue gun.... no more rat!
