Guided Tarot Box Set: Illustrated Book & Rider Waite Smith Tarot Deck (Guided Metaphysical Readings)

I am new to Tarot and wanted a book & tarot card set to get me started. I researched many books but ordered this one because I liked the simplicity of the layout and the clear, concise descriptions for each card. It also has explanations for how to use the deck including cleansing, shuffling, picking a card, what to ask, etc. All of it is presented in a very easy to understand and practical way that makes it a must for beginners. I appreciate the box it came in but unfortunately it didn’t protect the book from the corner being bent while in transit. I definitely recommend this set to anyone just getting started in tarot.

This is hands down one of my favorite purchases ever. I’m so grateful I discovered it when I was just starting out with Tarot. The guidebook is the best I’ve come across for learning Tarot, and I use it almost daily. It provides in-depth explanations for each card, covering general readings, love/romance, career/money, personal/spiritual growth, and reversed meanings. It also dives into the symbolism in the artwork and connects the cards to numerology and astrology, which adds so much depth. The book begins with a wealth of information on understanding Tarot, performing readings, and ideas for spreads. The included Rider-Waite-Smith deck is also a fantastic choice for beginners. I highly recommend this set!

I have had many false starts in reading tarot, but this book is accessible and not intimidating. I’m learning more everyday because I am reading everyday. I especially enjoy the exercises, short spreads, abd “interviewing the deck”. Really great beginners guide that feels like a morning therapy session. The cards are bright and good quality.

I gave this to myself. It is prepackaged in a sturdy box (as pictured). The book is very thorough. It gives strategies to understand and memorize the tarot cards gradually using daily readings. This set is a great tool for getting in tune with your intuition. The deck itself is standard and appealing, with clear details and bright colors. The book shows a large variety of layouts to use in readings. It also offers detailed analysis for each card as well as reversed meanings. It's extremely useful for someone just beginning to learn.

The book and deck come in a box for shelf storage or table display. However, though the Amazon box was not damaged, the product box was crushed along the top. The book is helpful and easy to read. The cards are classic. I’m disappointed about the box and may just recycle it, rendering it pointless and a waste.

The cards alone are worth the price. Good quality cards.The book features a bit too much focus on the self-improvement, self-spirituality, aspect of Tarot for my taste.However, the definitions presented, as far as they go, seem quite in accord with current Tarot practice . The book itself is well produced, printed and bound nicely.It is a place to start for a beginner, anyway, and anyone enjoying a bit of self-spirituality "woo" with their Tarot will actually love this set. I buy it for the cards, though, and gift the book to friends who will enjoy it.Anyways, 5 stars, because it is actually a nice set, and the box it comes in is very high quality.

I bought this set because of the book since I already have the original deck, but having another one for learning purposes and practicing is definitely a plus. there’s a separate page for each card with general meanings, love and romance meaning, career or money meaning, personal and spiritual, as well as reversed meaning. There is some space to write your own notes as well. Every card in the book has a journaling question to reflect upon, and on the left-hand side, there are basic meanings as well as numerology and astrology connection with each card. I love the size of the book and even though it is for beginners, it is very thorough and systematic. The back of the book has a quick reference guide for each card of major and minor Arcana with a mini picture and upright and reversed meaning keywords. It also lists the exact page where you can find detailed descriptions. The car deck is OK, not necessarily of the highest level quality but not bad either. This is a very nice box suitable for a present to someone or to yourself. let those messages come through freely and may the universe help you find your answers.
