Works perfectly
Builf myself a gaming computer, high end this high end that Iput into it, but for some unknown reason I couldnt get any microphone to work with the sound card, It was driving me up the wall, there was no way in hell was I going to spend another small fortune on another sound card just to find I'll still have the same result..So for a laugh I bought this as a cheep solution..and..SHE RIDES.. I've just spent months trying to get a microphone to work on my set up, this solved the problem in 5 seconds (and I'm not joking) pluged it in with the mic and it worked instantly..If you have any problems with a sound card on your PC get this, works a treat.

Terrible product - Money wasted.
The Vention 3.5mm External USB Sound Card usb adapter usb audio Adapter card With Mic USB To Jack 3.5 Converter For PS & PC,It worked initially for approx 1 month. I used it to convert from 3.5mm audio jack to USB. Pretty soon though any headset I plugged into the 3.5mm audio out jack would only produce low sound in only one ear. If I spent a few minutes making minute movements or pulling firmly at an angle it would produce sound in both ears. But the tiniest movement of my head & it was lost. It's cheap nasty & a waste of money.

DREADFUL AND A CON
This is appalling and I am returning it.It feels fine but it does not work and adds a layer of hissing-humming when you plug in a microphone to record via the USB interface.I tried a mid-level microphone and a Rode one and neither made any difference. Both recorded on Telegram, Garage Band or any other type of voice application with a distinct and intrusive whooshing sound that made this product's use useless!I have registered a complaint and am in the process of returning it to Amazon for a refund but it is unacceptable to be selling this kind of device with such a fundamental fault rendering it effectively unusable!

Cheap fix to an expensive problem!
So I was trying to use my razer headset with my laptop, but you can't use the mic as it's only a singular AUX output. This cheap little device splits the output into two - one line for mic and the other for the headphones. Bosh, cheap fix that means I don't need an entirely new headset.I've been told from people listening to me talking with the mic that it's a little soft / quiet but it deffo does the job if you're looking for a cheap and easy fix.

Works Great for Mac
Bought this to hook up a Mac to a small mixer - ran a 3.5mm to RCA cable from the green port on this, to the one of the inputs on the mixer. Then another RCA cable to 3.5mm back from the mixer output back to the pink port on this. Worked great, absolutely no complaints and good value for money! It was plug and play with OSX, other than going into System Preferences > Sound > Output & Input, and then picking "USB Audio Device" for both. Works great!
