Humidity Sensor Replacement Compatible With Danby Toshiba Midea Sencor Dehumidifiers Error A5 AS

We didn't have the error code. But it seemed obvious that our unit wasn't reading the ambient humidity correctly, and the unit was consequently hardly ever turning on. This small sensor fixed it. The sensor itself was easy to install. However, getting to the sensor was a minor challenge. Thankfully, there was a YouTube video on how to do that.

Fixed my problem. Humidity was constantly 30, so unit was not working. Fan would run but no compressor turn on. Works great now.

It didn’t work in mine

4 stars because it works. This got my Midea dehumidifier working again however the digital readout is not accurate with this sensor. I have two additional humidity sensors in the room that read 2-3 digits of each other and the readout from my dehumidifier differs by 9-10 digits higher. Before the failure of the original sensor all three would read within 2-3 digits of each other.

After 4 years of ownership, my Homelabs dehumidifier suddenly decided it didn't need to turn on anymore because it thought it was always 30% relative humidity in the basement, despite the fact that my standalone humidistat would read 48% or higher. After not finding any parts diagrams or disassembly instructions online, I finally just plunged ahead and removed all the panels off the dehumidifier by removing every screw I could access. I then found the humidity sensor in the last place I looked: hidden at the top-right of the central frame, mounted vertically, on a separate card from the control panel. I took a picture with my phone, and zooming in I was able to find a part number, which led me here. The replacement of the card was easy after I managed to remove the glue that held the old one in place. The dehumidifier is now working again.

I ordered this not knowing that it would work although the humidifier had a different name on itBud the manufacturer is Midea just had MD on the manufacturing label and the sensor works for Midea humidifiers it’s a lot of screews that have to come out so be patient.

La description du produit était claire et avec les photos ça beaucoup aidé pour m'assurer que c'était la bonne chose. Le numéros du modèle était pareil que sur les photos. Mon déshumidificateur fonctionne parfaitement et la lecture est précise.
