Helpful install tips
Wow these things work great! BUT I struggled to figure out how to install them. For everyone else who tries them, the silver and rubber ring go on the car first. Make sure you line up the silver clips with the three prongs in the car and make sure the rubber ring is on so as to not interfere with the clips. Then you put on the cap after those are installed in the car. The caps will only fit “auto” on left and plain cover on right. After struggling for fifteen minutes they are installed and work great. Hopefully my additional tips helps the next person installing these.

Perfect match
I thought the kids or my purse knocked the knob off of my X5 rear heat adjustment dial. It’s under warranty, but the dealership is such a hassle to work with that I just ordered this myself off of Amazon. I don’t know if it’s OEM or not, but it’s a perfect match to the original because my kids FOUND THE ORIGINAL piece in the seat about 2 weeks after I installed this replacement. Hahaha! Happy to have a backup now in case we damage the dial again.

Looks like the original
I bought this to replace the rear a/c knob a coworker knocked off in my car. They were a little difficult to put on but after figuring out the alignment, I finally got them on. Looks like new. Just wish some instructions for installation were included. I had to search one for some tips and finally found the information I needed in a BMW forum.

Not all pieces will work
There are 4 pieces here, silver ring, black outer ring, and 2 buttons. The silver piece is what I was missing, but the black outer ring didn't fit my car. Luckily I used my old black ring with the new silver piece and finally got it attached. Took me forever to figure out why it wasn't sitting right.

Exactly what you need if you've broken the know on your climate control
Exactly what I needed. Not sure how but the right side controller for the rear seat disappeared in my X5. This was a perfect, exact fit. Super easy to install and looks exactly like the factory piece. Order with confidence.
