Main pipe broke in half the 2nd day
I really liked this shade when I first put it on the boat. A storm came in and broke the main aluminum pipe in half. I wish I could get in touch with someone to help me replace the pipe at least. As of now my 299 was a waste of money. Would love to repair it and I had emailed (no phone number to call) in plenty of time 3 times with no response. Is Dev fishing even a thing, would love for someone to call me back or email so I can either exchange this bar or get a new replacement bar somehow. At the moment it’s worthless but it worked great for 1 day and looks nice.. Update. : they were very helpful and sent me an entire new setup. It works fabulous. O

PERFECT SHADE
Works great! Ran about 45 mph with no issues. Video was around 30mph. It breaks down easy but if you don’t have a large storage box you’ll need to get wrenches out to break it down fully. Covers our full back half of the boat really well.

Good product but needs separate storage bag
Shade is easy to set up and works great. It comes with a bag for the cloth and aluminum poles, but not for the other hardware. That should have been included.

Lasted only 2 months. Great while it lasted? 🤷🏻♂️
Was a great shade extension for my center console T top. As a rule I didn’t leave it up while running but did a couple times between quick jumps to a new fishing spot. Boat it’s on a lift behind the house. I typically would leave shade up while sitting on lift. I got home one day and the pole had simply cracked in half and broke off completely!!! No bad storm to blame. Got no idea. We loved it for the 2 months while it lasted.

Awesome!
Absolutely awesome! Very well built! Very easy to put up and take down! Just a little pricey but not terrible!

Really hoped it would work
I've been looking for a solution to the hot Florida sun to add some shade to my boat without spending over $1k. Gave this one a shot and it worked great the first few times out. Then, the material started to fray at the edges which got progressively worse over time. A big gust of wind blew in stern-side causing the thin aluminum frame to bend and snap. There was no way to salvage the shade at this point, so in the trash it went. It lasted exactly 2 months. Not a good value for me. Would not recommend. I'm now looking at spending closer to $1k to get something that will (hopefully) last longer.

Great quality
Honestly, we were skeptical. We read the reviews and figured, why not. Best thing we’ve purchased for the boat to date!! So easy to install. We’ve had for a year and with PERFECT. I should note we do not drive the boat past idle with it up. It’s so easy to put up and down though. The case is perfect for storage- absolutely worth every penny!

Already tearing after one use
Not well stitched. Already coming apart after one use. Was a big gap between my T-top and this shade when inserted in rod holders, to the point that the shade was mostly over my outboard. I think I can make it better by reversing the mounting, and having it angle the opposite way. But even if that works it won't fix the stitching. Hopefully my wife can reinforce it with the sewing machine.
