What if there's no neutral wire in the box?

The receiver needs a neutral wire. If not in the switch box, install it behind a non-metal light fixture. A neutral may be hidden at the back—check carefully. Suraielec also offers a no-neutral-wire model.

What battery does the switch use and how long does it last?

The switch uses a 12V 23A Alkaline battery. Battery life depends on usage, but typically lasts several months to over a year.
