Newman's Own Alphabet Cookies, Chocolate, 7-oz. (Pack of 6)

Pleasantly surprised! As many of us may find, when it comes to sweets, organic doesn't always taste as good as junk food does (although guilt free does taste fantastic)...We weren't expecting these to be quite so cookie-like, much less addicting! They have a crunch that is hard to get tired of. In fact, the first package I opened, I ate nearly half of, in one sitting! (These are bulk packages, haha..)We have only tried this Cinnamon Graham Cracker variety but will definitely try others in the future. For now, my husband and I are hooked! Our grand daughter absolutely loves them as well and has fun with each cookie being imprinted with an alphabet letter (she is 4). These are on Subscribe and Save and we go through them all too quickly, every month lol.The nutrition facts are almost identical to a well known graham cracker brand, as well as a generic store bought version I compared. So we consider them guilt free (Especially since they are organic goodness, without any of the junk!).I uploaded a couple of pictures. Note, this was only after I'd already cut the bag top off (easy-to-snack without crumbs all over my knuckles lol) and eaten most of the bag...Try them at your risk. Uber gooood!!! Smile.

I've purchased these cookies more than once and find that the quality varies from batch to batch. Sometimes, they're a nice slightly crunchy little cookie and sometimes they're incredibly stale and painful to bite through. This seems to be the case both in ordering and in buying in the grocery store. They're a good flavor, especially if you're looking for an animal cracker substitute. I prefer the flavor and texture of these to the Barbara's Vanilla Animal Crackers. As of my last purchase, these were safe for me to consume with a milk and soy allergy (though you should always, always, always read the label every time because manufacturers have a tendency to change recipes or suppliers without warning).

About a year ago, Newman's Own Organics changed these cookies. While the list of ingredients did not change, the taste clearly changed so I suppose something changed in the process. They became a little thinner and the taste is totally different. The old version tasted much, much better. I don't know what they were thinking. These cookies are still pretty good, but the old version was great and I wish they would fix this mistake.

The little cookies are delightful my students really liked it. Way too easy to pop into the mouth.

These are THE BEST chocolate cookies and they're made with healthier ingredients! There aren't many foods I can enjoy ... most goes through a feeding tube - however, these are on my "safe list" of treats I can still eat. They're becoming difficult to find in our area😡so it was a thrill when I found them on Amazon and at a great price!! Even my husband, who is a self-proclaimed "sweets and chocolate snob" enjoys these cookies, that alone says it all for me.

Having a vague memory of seeing alphabet cookies somewhere, I sought them locally in vain & turned to Amazon, where I found just what I wanted to give children from the communications/library booth at our church ministry fair. I passed them out in little baggies of five each, happy to tell parents they were organic. As it turned out, the children loved them; so did our Senior Warden and other adults who tried the delicious little goodies!

These are the best store-bought chocolate cookies that I have ever eaten. It would be very easy to eat the whole bag at one sitting. The price is not TOO bad, considering that they are organic. My grandchildren love them because of the rich taste, and also because there is a letter of the alphabet on each cookie. Looking at the letter slows down the eating just a bit. Thanks, Paul Newman!

These cookies are delicious. I bought them for my granddaughter but enjoy eating them myself. It is nice they are healthy for a cookie and have no artificial ingredients. They taste like a famous old national brand chocolate cookie without the creme! I think it is a fun feature for little guys to be able to reinforce their alphabet by looking at the letters showing on the cookies.
