PROs & CONs after 6 months
I've had this beautiful piece of luggage for 6 months now and have had enough time and flights to break some things, fix some things, work around some design flaws.PRO's• Beautiful / Baller / Etc...• Large• Great wheels, rolls great• Great zippers, no issues• The little crush proof area is convenient for storing stuff I dont want to loose.• Light weight• No complex pockets inside• Interior tie down straps are nice and long• Narrow, easy to walk onto flightsCON's• The aluminum hardware is beautiful, but sharp. The bumpers that touch the floor (near the wheels) get all scratched up on pavement and get rough then scratch up my wood floors at home. I wish these were rubber.• The bag NEW is beautiful. After checking it, it gets all kinds of scuffed up. I've only checked this bag twice (on my last 12 flights) because i'm terrified the baggage handlers will ruin it.• One of the bumpers broke off and I had to open up the lining to fish out some screws and re-attach it. It worked. Cool. Some piece of plastic in there cracked too. Now thats broken. I was surprised how cheap it felt once you unzip the lining and feel the insides.• When boarding a plane, staff almost always ask you to check the bag because it LOOKS too big. Just say OK, let them tag your bag then get on the plane like it never happened.• The handle ONLY comes out if the button is pressed. This confuses the many people handling your bag.• The arm on the handle is a little short for my taste and i'm only 5'10". It would be a pain for anyone taller.• This bag ONLY fits in airplane overhead compartments if: - The top corner near the crush proof area is empty or lightly filled with a sweater or something - The wheels are facing out (any other orientation will result in failure and stewards will put it under) - You push really hard and jam it in there :-)RECOMMENDATION:If I always checked my luggage, I'd return this bag. It's too small and cool for checked luggage. It's a little too big for someone who can't deal with BS with regard to getting this bag on a plane and into an overhead compartment. If you never fly and just need a bag for your car this bag is GREAT!!!!! It fits in a car beautifully and looks great and it won't get all scuffed up by TSA.WISH:If I were the designer of this bag, i'd include a tool and some extra bumpers. I'd also use a stronger reinforcement for where the bumpers screw in.

Great execution of a lacking design...
I am torn between 2 and 3 stars. Considering the price, I went with two. It is a well built bag, but I find the design quite lacking. Two major design issues:1 - Rather than connect the straps to the lower half of the bag, so that one could move it around without zipping it up, they attach them to the top half of the bag. That means that all of the load goes through the zipper (bad). It also means that if you pick it up with the main zipper unzipped, the lower half will empty itself onto the floor faster than you can blink. I have fallen for this many times, and it is really making me hate this case. It is a perimeter zipper, so it is not obvious whether it is zipped or not. Also, when I am on vacation, suitcase zipper status is not at the forefront of my attention space.2 - The telescoping handle locks open, but not closed. Really? That means that as soon as a baggage handler grabs it by the handle it will slide open, lock in place, and that is how it will be thrown on and off the plane. This gives great leverage for throwing the bag (bad) and exposes the sliding mechanism to unnecessary damage (also bad). They must have very polite luggage handlers in Sweden.Other minor niggles: the aluminum hardware is fancy, but not very functional. It is great for gouging hardwood floors and car paint, but has little real purpose. The internal hard shield forces the bag into an awkward and unbalanced wedge. Kind of like a giant backpack, except it isn't a backpack.I have taken to modifying the bags (I bought four on sale) to make them more functional. The aluminum side buckles can be used for a strap that goes under the bag, taking the load off the zipper. This also partly solves the problem of the lower compartment puking its contents whenever the bag is hoisted. I have also added full compression straps to pull down the girth, and drilled extra detents in the handle rail to allow locking when it is collapsed. This makes the bag far more functional. After the mods it is a solid four star bag. I am going after the internal hard shield next. The construction of these bags is top notch. The fact that I can modify them to suit my needs speaks to the solid nature of the platform.

Worked out Perfectly! Got what I paid for.
I am bit of a pain in the rear end with how picky I am about things, I even get to myself... That being said, I purchased two sets of each size of this Xover Line by Thule. My family now has a full set of matching luggage that is so versitile that each family member loves their bag. Even with all of the different types of Traveling and also different sports and hobbies we are accomodating, these bags are fitting in quite well with everyone. I spent over 2k on the luggage but it is worth every dime. This bag, the 56L, is definitely the favorite though. We purchased two and it looks like we may still need another. Perfect size bag with perfect storage compartmets to keep everything safe and seperate. The hard shell compartments are available on every bag including the backpacks I purchased. I was able to ditch a case for my Oakleys. Nice job Thule, it's definitely a case of getting what I paid for.

Zips failed
This bag has been around the world 5/6 times over with me and hasn’t let me down at all, no rips, no tears nothing. However having taken it out of retirement following the COVID crisis the zips have now snapped, only the handles the zip mechanism itself is fine. Hopefully Thule will be able to provide replacements!
