Heinz Spotted Dick Pudding 10 oz - 300g - Tin

I bought this as I wanted to try something new and it seems like nobody sells this in Chicago. Tried it a bit after I opened the can and it was VERY good. Nice and moist even with being sealed inside a can. Microwaving it made it taste better and made me crave to have custard with it (which unfortunately I didn't). I look forward to the next time we meet spotted dick...next time.

Product looked like it was old and it tasted very bad. I had to throw it out because how nasty it tasted and looked.

I work for Heinz and bought this as a funny item to add to a gift bag for a co-worker; however, the packaging pictured here is not the same as what I received. Pictured here, the name stands out and has a funny impact; the cans I received were slightly re-worded so the phrase "spotted dick" was lost in the middle of the phrase "Taste of Home Delightful Spotted Dick Pudding" with all words having the same size and style of font. It's almost as if they deliberately wanted to remove the perhaps unintentional shock value the original packaging had. Sadly, that's why I purchased it! Edit Notes: Per the person who commented that they wished I had posted a picture, you're absolutely right. The picture I'm attaching now shows both cans: the one at the top is what Amazon originally reflected for this item; the one at the bottom is what I received and they have since updated this item to show it. Does it matter since it has been so many years and this item is apparently no longer available? No, probably not. However, I randomly came across this review in my account info and, by golly, I'm making it right.

The product was fun, but a bit dry or much drier than I recall spotted dick. Over all worth the fun, but if someone wants to try spotted dick for the first time I suggest you go elsewhere.

I ordered a can of this as a joke and it turned out to be great. I shared my Spotted Dick Pudding with some of my friends and they sure did love eating my spotted dick pudding. After putting my spotted dick pudding into their mouths, their eyes lighted up with joy. Quite a tasty treat!

It took nearly a month to get this.It said 7 days. I needed it sooner and they didn't come through for me.

Ok, it's British, so maybe that explains the flavor...and the name. It was funny as a novelty item, but I'd make my own from scratch next time.
