A compentent if a little fiddly fan
I bought this fan along with a 120mm fan from another company in order to replace the stock 140mm and 120mm fans that come with a Noctua NH D-14. Those fans are only three pin and so always spin at full RPM.Anyway this fan is nice and quiet at low RPM and it's not annoyingly loud at full, the fans on my graphics card are louder than this when playing games so it just gets drowned out.Couple of things worth noting (which I don't think are in the description) are that this is a 140mm fan with fan mounts for a 120mm fan. This was perfect for my purposes but it wont match the holes in your case for the 140s and in my particular case the 120 mounting areas wouldnt allow me to install the fan properly. This isn't an issue with the fan as such but I thought it worth mentioning. In case you plan to install it in a 120mm slot you should check your clearance around the screw holes. Also when trying to use this with the Noctua I had some difficulty as the screw holes are actually rubber sections pushed into an open square area in each corner. This is actually shown in one of the product pictures but as one side of the rubber is raised above the plastic of the hole it meant I couldn't fit the shaped metal wiring that connects the fans to the heatsink. I had to cut the nibs off each corner piece in order to fit the wiring. This isn't a complete disaster as technically there are 8 of these rubber pieces (one for each corner and on both front and rear of the fan) meaning I could swap the rubber pieces around if I really needed to fit the fan to a case mount. In terms of air shifted this is actually a pretty good performer. It seems to produce a nice gust at full RPM and didn't negatively impact performance of my cooler (I haven't actually checked whether there was any increase in cooling). The cable going from fan to socket is nice and long and feels pretty thick and durable. All in all not bad considering at time of purchase this was the cheapest 140mm PWM fna available. You could find better, but it'll cost more and they likely won't have the low profile this fan
