This book is truely helpful to Civil Engineers and all those that affiliate themselves with engineering on the whole.It is very helpful to me as a Final Year Student pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.The student and the professional will surely be guided by having this book in their possession.

This book is not heavy on theory but puts a great deal of practical and commonly used formulas in a somewhat new light. I like the book very much for its practical applications for settlement calculations. This book does seem to be a text book. I hired a new engineer and he brought it with him. After having it in the office for a while I noticed that I was borrowing it more often than not so I decided to buy it.

I strongly feel this is the book I most often open daily.

This book is good for someone who wants to just learn a little about Foundation Engineering. It's briefly covers almost every possible aspect of the field but did not cove any one field is great detail.

Super book focusing on foundations. Has a great chapter on expansive soils that is very well written and illustrated.

The book arrived, serves its purpose but the cover was scratched, other than that it has been really very great.

I purchased this book in order to learn foundation design, the concepts are explained clearly with plenty of illustrations and graphs for experimental data and site conditions, as well as practical considerations for various aspects of geotechnical engineering projects. However, there are some typos such as references to the wrong figure and 0 and 9s appearing in place of brackets, but these issues are minor and do not impede understanding of the content.

Great book for reference for foundation design.
