Tickled pink.
Excellent log splitter! I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It splits everything that I can lift including green and seasoned oak, hickory, and black locust. It easily splits 12 inch diameter x 18 inch logs as fast as I can load them. It even blasts through knots and limbs without hesitation. I assembled it by myself in 30 minutes using only two box-end wrenches and one allen wrench. The instructions are good. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. I thought everything was as perfect as could be. I did revise the two handed operation requirement by adding the optional foot petal switch. I disabled (wired around) the 2-pole momentary-on push button power switch that comes on the machine. The switch has two white wires and two black wires. Simply join the white wires together, and join the black wires together to bypass the switch. Remember to open the air bleeder valve before using the splitter. An air lock in a hydraulic system will kill its power. I assembled the optional stand by setting the splitter upside-down and worked backward so to speak. No heavy lifting or awkward bolt assembly. I am 68 yrs old, male, in poor health so most people with some mechanical common sense will have no problems. The unit came very well packaged. The only issue I had was moving/loading 100 pounds into my vehicle but I figured that out too. Oh, the adjustable stopper on the ram return slips, so I simply use a small vise grip as my clamp to adjust the return for shorter logs.

WEN Lumberjack Log Splitter gets the job done!
The Lumberjack is a mean machine! This log splitter is well made and split everything I threw at it. I like the feature that allows you to shorten the stroke as this saves a lot of time. Make sure you have it tight or it will slide on the rail. The stand makes it portable, which is very handy and stable. The unit weighs 118 pounds so keep that in mind when the box gets dropped off on your porch. I got mine on Prime day for $300, which is a great deal.

Excellent product but the stand is lacking.
I like campfires. I have them all of the time. When a storm comes through and topples the trees, I get happy. This thing is excellent. The stand is terrible. Don't use it. I just put the unit in my flat bed truck, run power to it, and have fun splitting wood. Plenty of Youtube videos on this. Its perfect for splitting campfire wood. Really fun.

Good little machine - heavy for its size
This review is after assembling and using the splitter for one hour to split some pine logs. First, the good stuff: It is powerful and does a great job splitting logs - I even got a couple of 12" diameter logs to split. The stand is a back and knee saver - I would definitely recommend getting it. For the money, this splitter is really good. The photo shows about one hour's work - and I was learning to use the splitter. Some things you should consider - -It arrives in a box that weighs well over 100 lbs. Have it delivered where you will assemble and use the splitter - like a garage. They say it should not be assembled by one person and I agree. That being said, I'm a 71 year old guy out of shape who did it by myself. You just need to be wise about how you go about moving the splitter. They give you the option of laying the splitter upside down to attach the stand - good idea if you're working on your own. Some of the attachment bolts go in really tight spaces. Have a good socket set and a lot of patience. -The assembly instructions are marginal. In several cases the diagrams and description were not sufficient to know how to assemble specific areas. One of the steps says "assemble the stand". No step-by-step instructions to do that. That being said, if you also reference the diagram of the unit fully assembled, you can figure it out. The handle is already attached according to the instructions. It arrived in a separate bag with two allen screws and an allen wrench that was way too big for the screws. Fortunately, i had the right sized wrench and could attach the handle. Good thing - the handle is REALLY important when you wheel this unit around. -With the stand it can still be a little awkward to wheel around. The unit is top-heavy (duh!) so be careful when moving, especially if you're on ground that is not smooth or flat. All in all I'm satisfied and would have given it 5 stars if the instructions had been better. I recommend it.

More powerful than I expected
It was simple to set up and simply use. It works much better than I expected it to. It powered right through some logs with knots and weird waviness. Slower than using a splitting ball, but a lot less work. It’s pretty heavy and not exactly easy to move around, although it does have some wheels so you can roll it. It would be nice if you could store it standing upright. I’m not sure why they didn’t add that as a feature. I might make a modification to make it easier to do that. Regardless, it’s small enough that it doesn’t really take up that much space in my shed.

A splitting machine
I love this thing. I didn't have tons of wood, but I had a good size pile that we use when we go camping. My back wasn't going to let me chop by hand and to rent one for a day was going to cost as much as I paid for this. My only concern was bending over to operate the unit. Nope, this has a stand that was easy to assemble. I was able to split up all my wood, as my back allowed, with very little effort. It split everything I had except a couple of large pieces of green oak. I just set them aside and will split them after they dry out some. I saw several complaints about the difficulty in bleeding the hydraulic system. I think they over thought it. You are not trying to drain anything, just let air in and out. I cracked the bleeder screw open and was good to go. The other complaint was the stop that limits the stroke. Mine also slide, no matter home tight I twisted the know. So I went to my bin and grabbed a metric bolt a little longer than needed. Now I just tighten with a 13mm wrench and hang the wrench on the bolt to have handy as needed. Not an issue.

Foot pedal not working
The wood splitter is awesome but....how come my foot pedal does not work? What could I be doing wrong?

Impressive
Was a bit challenging to set up but overall a very good splitter. Pay attention to where you plan to use the splitter in relation to a power source. The recommended length of power cord is no longer than 50 ft. I would suspect this is a condition of all splitters and not this specific model.
