Previous Generation Fire HD 8 Tablet Case -Protective Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep for Fire HD 8 Tablet (7th and 8th Generation, 2017 and 2018 Release) Black, Not Suit for 10th 2020 Release

Bought this case for my husband and he loves it on his kindle Fire HD 8. It’s qood quality, fits perfect and it has good protection. What he likes most about it is how light it is.

Excellent case for the price. It covers and protects, and the magnetic catch is pretty strong. The two-position easel worked pretty well once I figured out how to use it. No rips or tears have started after about 50 hours of light use. I try not to shock-test my devices, so I don't know about impact resistance. I would prefer a rougher finish for more slip resistance, but it is easy to hold onto as is. Clean and sleek looking.

For a tablet I got for around $50 to $60, a $10 case makes sense, and it's pretty decent for $10. Solid feel, good grip, construction seems sturdy, my complaints are functional. A little miffed there's no way to secure the cover when it's folded back, and the cover does shift if mild pressure is applied when it's folded over the screen. However, neither of these issues are huge since I can just compensate for the former with my grip, and the latter is immaterial in most situations since few things will provide horizontal force to move the screen. Good product overall.

The case fits without making it bulky. Closing the cover puts the Kindle asleep, and it wakes when you life the cover. I call it sleek, because I don't like carrying a large device around and this case keeps it's form factor small. The only down side is the cover when its flipped over to use the Kindle; there is nothing to secure it in place when you are holding it, so it slides around a bit in your hand. Overall, this is the best case I've had.

Just got this and so far I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality. In both show mode and type mode the case is very stable. The magnet that also auto turns on and off the sleep mode also keeps the triangle shape in place when folded. Also works well when folded flat and hand held. I found that holding the kindle in horizontal mode with the case folded in stand mode is useful as well. Can't comment on the durability yet but it seems well made.

I purchased this case for my Amazon Fire 8" 7th edition tablet. Right out of the package I loved this case. The things I liked about this case are:-It has a sleek and stylish look and feel which I love.-It doesn't add too much bulk or weight to the tablet.-I really love the sleep feature once you close the lid to reserve battery.-The buttons, sd card slot and ear phone hole are easily accessible.The only thing I didn't like about this case is the corner edges could be a little sturdier. The left corner of my case cracked off and broke off only after a little over a month of use. Mind you I've only used my tablet in bed and never dropped it or been rough with it. So, either I got a faulty one or perhaps the slight pull and tension from taking the tablet in and out of the case causes it to weaken at the corner. The seller was great though. I contacted them and they got back to me right away and replaced my case. The new case is so far so good. Hopefully, this one will last. Will update if any issues.

Update:After 3 months of gentle use, in which the kindle and case have primarily been sitting on an night stand when not in use (not knocked around in a bag), the case is starting to fall apart. At first the glue holding the magnets failed, so when you opened the cover, the magnets would pull out. Then, the plastic case began to chip away, starting first at th thin plastic around the magnet. Add that to the fact that the stand is nearly useless, and it’s becoming a disappointing product...Great case at a great price! The case is slim fitting, and perfectly fits my Kindle Fire HD 8. The front cover is magnetic and stays in place once closed, it also automatically locks the device and puts it to sleep, which is great. The case does have an odd smell to it, but I’m sure that will fade over time, and it’s only noticeable up close. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This case fits the Fire HD 8 perfectly. It is stylish, and very professional looking. The back of the case has a port for the camera lens, so you can still freely take pictures and record videos while the case is in. What's really nice about the case is once the flap is closed over the screen, it automatically puts the tablet to sleep, so you never have to worry about your battery dying prematurely.
