Lightweight, easy to use, excellent attachments and qualities. Worth the money, for sure!
This is a fantastic mixer! I gave my Kitchenaid stand mixer to my daughter because I couldn't stand its heavy weight and cumbersome design. Yes, it was great, but this mixer is its equal in terms of its functionality. And, it has a carrying handle, is a breeze to use, wash, and transport back to my cabinet. My cookie batch was delicious! Love this machine!

excellent stand mixer
I had the mixer for over a year now, and thought to make a review about it I have used it quite a bit to make dough for various pastries, breads, cakes, cookies and other desserts. I used all the attachments, including the whip whisker. I have to say, it did the job very well, and the dough that comes out of the bowl of this stand mixer is wonderful, and well mixed. I have made many cakes, bread, pies, and cookies and all came back better than what I expected. I have recently made cinnamon rolls using this stand mixer to make the dough, photos of which are included in this review. pros, quick to assemble, use, and clean. Easy to operate and to get the attachments hooked and unhook them. small in size, and easy to store. it has variable speeds and will allow you to adjust depending on your needs. have used now for over a year, with about 2-4 times/ month, with no major issues. No problems with rust so far. cons small size, and it won't fit more than 7 to 8 cups of flour at once, the performance won't be as predictable, as the mixer was struggling and shaking as it was trying to get the ingredients mixed but was able to complete it. I will buy a larger size stand mixer, as at times I need to make a bigger batch of pies and for time considerations, but not because of its functionality which I believe is very good to excellent. it is one of my must have, and one of the most important items in my kitchen for baking and making desserts which everyone enjoyed. Photos in review showing various breads, cakes, cookies, and other desserts made using the stand mixer with its 3 attachments I definitely recommend

KitchenAid Went Back & Keeping This * *
UPDATE: Well, now I've had this mixer for 2 1/2 years and never once regretted the purchase. I'm constantly making ice cream mixtures, breads and buns, whipped lots of heavy whipped cream. I now have found Coconut Cream Powder and it's a game changer. A lot of mixers might not whip it so well, but this really does the job. If I has One Complaint, it would be the the bottom of the bowl is tricky when washing it. You have to be careful NOT to submerge it in water or soapy water. It's best to put soapy water Inside the bowl and wash it with your sponge inside and out, being careful not to get too much water on the bottom of the bowl. Why? Because there are metal clips on the bottom of the bowl and water can easily get inside the bowl and you cannot easily remove it. So, keep the bottom dry. KitchenAid is the Best! Blah! Blah! Blah! Well, not in my opinion. I purchased a 5.5 quart Bowl Lift KitchenAid mixer and had nothing but problems. First, the thing weighed nearly 30 pounds. OK, so it's all metal and that's fine and good, unless you have to lift it or move it or God forbid ship the stupid thing back, like I had to. The first main problem was that the Whisk attachment was scraping badly on the bottom of the bowl. Fine, you just adjust the screw to lift the attachment height up. Only, and this has happened to a lot of reviewers, the stupid screw doesn't budge. AT ALL!! Contacted KitchenAid and they gave me an incident number and directed me to watch a video that shows you how to turn a screw! DUH!! Do they think people are so stupid, that they can't turn a screw?? Anyway, I then proceeded to REMOVE the Whisk attachment. Only, like the screw, it was frozen. It would not budge. OMG!! After 10 minutes of us trying, I gave it one gigantic yank and it came loose. When that happened, my arm got pinched in the whisk and I got a gigantic bruise on my right arm and welt. GRRR!! The other 2 attachments seemed to go on and off OK, but I wasn't about to try the old Whisk again. I fought it once and it beat me...lol Target had a great sale on these at $249, but I had my fill and it went back. Don't get me wrong, KitchenAid mixers have a lot going for them. They're very powerful, they are beautiful and all metal. They're made in the good old USA & you can purchase a mountain of attachments for them. Nonetheless, I'm too old to have to fight with my appliances. So, I checked out everything. One of the features I liked about the KitchenAid, is their Planetary Action. That's the way the attachments travel around the bowl or make an orbit, as compared to being in a fixed position. I believe Cuisinart mixers have that, too. Don't even get me started on the Cuisinart company and the quality control issues they're having. So, after searching and reading hundreds of reviews all over the internet (I disregard the incentivized reviews), I decided on this Hamilton Beech. It had the Planetary Action, pretty good power for my breads and mixing, was attractive, had a lift head, was really reasonably priced, had a good amount of metal in it, but only a fraction of the weight of the KitchenAid. After I received it, I was pleasantly surprised at the power of it. It was much more attractive than it appeared on the product page. While some people have said it didn't get all the ingredients from the side of the bowl, I haven't found that to be much of a problem. The one thing I do, that I've learned from influencer cooks on YouTube, is to always give my ingredients a quick stir in the bowl BEFORE starting the mixer. That helps prevent dry ingredients from staying on the sides or bottom of the bowl. The plastic Shield cover is great to have. I've only used it a couple of times, but that's something that KitchenAid doesn't even include. They include it, if you buy one of their really high dollar professional models. Another thing this has that KitchenAid doesn't, is some RECIPES. Come on, KitchenAid! Stop being so cheap, that you can't even include 4 or 5 recipes. I don't need them, but they could at least include a few, for the prices they're asking. Another thing that is great about this mixer, is that the Tilt Back Head Locks in place. That's important while you're using it, changing attachments and really important if you're lifting it by the top handle. It's a great safety feature, that most stand mixers don't have. It also helps prevent you from getting hurt & that's important to me. The top handle makes it easier to lift the head up and down. I really like that, as compared to other mixers without a handle. The main and probably only thing I don't like about this mixer is that it WALKS and SHAKES at higher speeds. The shaking isn't so bad, because you can hold the top of the mixer, to stabilize it. On the other hand, if you're not careful, that shaking can walk it right off the counter. When I purchased the KitchenAid, I also bought a bamboo slider to go underneath it and it fits perfect for this. For $10 to $12, I would advise investing in a slider. They are designed to easily slide your mixer around the counter or center island, in my case. But, they also stabilize the mixer and help keep it put. If you buy anything for your new mixer, buy one of those. They come in different materials. I like the wood, but check the reviews and see what works best for you. Now, this mixer only comes in a few colors and you're not going to get all those designer colors you might want. But, who cares really? I'm looking around for matching covers for this mixer, my 4 slice toaster, Ninja Blender and Air Fryer Oven. So, everything is going to be covered up, anyway. This also doesn't have many attachments. Again, I only need the main ones. And lets talk about attachments. OMG, the attachments on this mixer are so EASY to go on and off. No fighting at all. The Whisk is not as heavy duty as the KitchenAid, but it's plenty sufficient. If it eventually breaks or wears out, I'll just purchase another. It also only has one bowl size. If you purchase another bowl for it, it will be the same identical thing. KitchenAid has several different bowls and materials to choose from. Again, that wasn't a deal breaker for me. This is only a 4 quart bowl and I wasn't sure that would be big enough, but it has been. It's large enough to make my large Pullman loaf of bread and that's about 1 1/2 the size of a regular loaf. It has 7 speeds and I've never had to go past 5 for anything, even whipping cream. It goes from soft peaks to stiff, pretty fast. The mixer handles dough fantastic and that's the main reason I need a stand mixer. You can't do it by hand and it was getting messy, trying to use a hand mixer. The stupid dough would ride right up the attachments and some of the dough was always getting into the attachment holes and the underside of the mixer. YUCK!! WARRANTY? This baby has a 3 year warranty. I purchased it with my Mastercard, giving me an additional 1 year warranty. Now, I have 4 years of Warranty. KitchenAid has a 1 year warranty! Another thing I wasn't too happy about? Target always advertises a PRICE MATCH guarantee? Well, guess what. It's WORTHLESS. I would have saved $37.50, because the day AFTER I purchased my KitchenAid mixer from them, I could have gotten the same mixer for less. But, they said it wasn't valid, because their PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE, means it has to be the EXACT SAME ITEM and advertised in an ad. It also has to be THEIR ad and within 14 days and the exact same thing has to be PICTURED!!! That is ridiculous! They DO NOT have a price match, but by advertising that they do, they fool people into purchasing from them. Then, the few people that try to get a price match, they just deny. I will never buy any type of electronics from them again. They have terrible customer service and they're not honest at all. It was also on sale at KitchenAid.com for the same $249, but when you sign up with them, they give you 10% off. So, I would have saved $25 by purchasing it at KitchenAid, instead of Target. Something I'll think about, when I order my next big appliance. Check the manufacturer first and see if they're actually cheaper. I highly recommend this mixer. Eventually, I may purchase another KitchenAid mixer. For now, this is my pick and I'm sticking with it! Thank you for reading my review. If you found any of this helpful, please let me know.

A great product at a great price!
Love my new Stand mixer. Makes my home made bread making a lot easier. It is a medium size with all attachments that store right in the bowl when not used. It makes some noise but no more than the hand held mixers. It is sturdy with suction cups at the bottom to hold in place. Speeds vary but I only need it to go to medium at the most. The Red color is really pretty too. I did not want to spend $300 on a mixer so the price was perfect.

Stand Mixer that is light weight and easy to use
I have been using a larger Kitchen Aid mixer for years, but as I have gotten older it was getting too heavy for me to move around in the kitchen as I did not keep it on the kitchen counter all the time. I have been baking for 45 years and when I saw the Hamilton Beach mixer 4 quart it was just what I was looking for. I have a Hamilton Beach portable hand mixer which I use all the time for whipping cream or egg whites that I have had for several years and it has been reliable and problem free, so I felt comfortable buying the stand mixer. I love this mixer. It is so easy to move from a bottom cabinet to the counter. It is also very easy to use and clean up and the blue color is lovely. If you are making a large amount dough for a lot of cakes or a heavy dough this may not be able to handle that, but for cookies or a dozen cup cakes. or a cake you will have no problems.

Better than the higher priced mixers!
I am impressed by this mixer! I had one of the "best" mixers that recently died after 3 years. I spent a lot of time researching new mixers, hesitant to spend several hundred on a mixer that dies after 3 years (home use only not professional cook). I came across this mixer in several review lists and it rated as high or higher than the expensive ones of the same power. PROS: 300 watt motor is powerful enough to easily do all my mixing tasks, with heavy doughs or mixes you may have to reduce the speed a bit then it still does a great job mixing. Body is made of sturdy plastic so it is much lighter to lift and carry. The flat beater does a great job of mixing ingredients with minimal bowl scraping needed. The whisk does a fantastic job. The dough hook does a great job even with heavy doughs (dough removes easily from hook). All attachments are metal coated with a easy release/clean surface. The splatter shield snaps onto the bowl and will not fall into your batter, you put the shield on AFTER lowering the beater/hook/whisk. So there is not a big hole in the center for dry ingredients to fly up. The mixing bowl has handles on both sides and locks into place on the mixer with just a simple turn of the bowl. The orbital motion of the mixer does a great job of blending ingredients together (same mixing motion as the expensive one) and is far more effective than a 2 beater type of mixer. The tilt head makes changing blades so easy, also easy to get into the bowl to scrap (if needed) . Mixing guide is easy to see right on the top, just under the handle, large enough to easily see! Has the speed dial on the side, again very easy to see, has 7 speed choices with in between choices (so you can use 2 1/2 speed if 1 or 2 is not quite right. Strong suction cups on the base KEEP the mixer in place in use, No more chasing the mixer on my counter, yet releases easily when you want to move it. It is relatively quiet during use, you can hold a conversation in a normal tone of voice easily. The power cord is 2' 2" long. The handle on top makes moving the mixer very easy. CONS: Does not come with a flexible edge beater, there is one review that gives a link to a flex edge that they purchased..I find that does NOT make contact with the walls of the bowl except on the very top edge, so not really worth it. But the lack of a flexible edge does not seem to make a difference. With the motion of the beater you get, scraping the sides is not really needed. I have made heavy sticky cookie doughs, bread doughs, pie dough, cake batter, whipped cream, fillings for pies and I just love this work horse! If your looking for a reasonable price mixer that will not disappoint you, THIS is that mixer!! Great seller, well packaged very fast delivery. I highly recommend purchasing this mixer, and save a lot of money to boot!

Stand Mixer
Oh my gosh, I wish I had gotten this sooooo much sooner! My daughter has one that is like industrial super heavy duty, weighs a lot, and I've used it a very small bit, but not much. I'm aging, I'm having problems with my hands/wrists/arms, ok, body in general, and I decided it was time to get one. I have a tiny kitchen that I hate, so I already knew I had no room to put one of these, hence not having one. I chose this particular mixer because it has a handle. I don't know if others have a handle or not, I just saw this one with it's handle and all beautifully shiny blue and fell in love. I used it the first time the same day I got it, and I've used it multiple times since. I litterally do not have counter space enough to have all 4 suction cups stuck at the same time during use, so I stay right with it and to date, ok a dozen or so uses later, it doesn't travel, but I have no intention of walking away from it while in use. I actually didn't know it even had the suction cups on the bottom until I went to get it off my dining room table. All I have to say, is if you're a little older and your body isn't so good, those suction cups stick well enough to risk putting your back or a should joint or something out if you go to grab it and don't know it's suction cupped to your table. But it's ok if you do. The other deal sealer for me was that this one does not weigh anywhere near as much as my daughters mixer does. I thought I had managed to clear an under cupboard spot to keep it, but it's too tall. So like so many other things I like to use, it will live in the basement when not in use. I am currently considering converting part of the basement to a much more user friendly kitchen with much more counter and cupboard space, as most of my kitchen stuff is down there anyways. And in closing, the important stuff: I've only used the paddle piece, the instructions said that would be the one most used, and so far that has been true. My numb fingers have no problems putting on or taking off any of the attachments, and the paddle has been amazingly easy to clean. If the batter hasn't dripped off, a quick swipe with a spatula takes most of it off, super easy to was. I use a damp swedish dishcloth to wipe the mixer down itself, dry it off, as well as the bowl, so it stays shiny pretty too. i put all the attachments in the bowl, tuck in the cord and put, Oh yes! it also has a spatter guard! I've creamed sugar into melted butter or shortning, whipped eggs, added liquids, and or flour. I was concerned about spatter, but have discovered that this mixer doesn't, or at least hasn't yet spattered anything. The bowl height/beater depth seems to be perfect for mixing, which is as it should be! I have not used the whisk attachment yet, I'm guessing the potential for spatter will be much higher then, but it's ok, because this mixer comes with a spatter guard. So far I'm totally satisfied with this mixer, and my hands/arms/body in general wish I'd done it sooner.

NOT UK PLUG WARRANTY ONLY FOR US AND HANDBOOK SAYS DONT USE ADAPTER
Ordered from UK but came with a 2 prong plug not sure if this is a US plug. Now have to try and purchase an adapter. UPDATE Advised to use a step transformer for uk use but transformer says not for mixers, Also warranty only for US and instructions say dont use an adapter/transformer.. Bought this from Amazon US so if they know they are shipping to UK why are they not giving UK buyers the above information? VERY DISAPPOINTED IN AMAZON. Think of buyers outside US. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
