Turned a scrap piece of granite countertop into a lazy susan
I used with my cordless drill and charged lots of batteries. After cutting a 16 sided "circle" with a diamond blade on my angle grinder, I put the 50&100 to work rounding the top edge, cleaning up the cuts and rounding the points. I used the pads in succession up to 300 dry. I gave my drill a break for a couple days (wife still suspect how it will turn out).Starting with the 500, I used a spray bottle to wet few sides, sanded, sprayed, sanded, sprayed, sanded and when all sides were done I wiped the edges before swapping to the next pad and starting the spray & sand x3 process over again. I got up to the 2000 and was tired of walking in circles, so I quit for the day.The next day I found a couple small spots that weren't as polished as the rest, but the wife said it looked good enough. She already suggested cutting and polishing another piece from what's left. Are the cut edges smooth and have a shine like the top does? Yes. Now I have to attach it to the lazy susan ring. Maybe some day I'll fix the small imperfections and work up to the 8000 pad.The 50&100 got the most wear (2 of each would make the kit better).

Good quality.
Did not get a five-star because not all the dang pads stay in place every time. The pads do their job for me, who has no experience in this type of work. The only problem I had as a DYI'er was that as you turn the grinder on, you can tell that the pads shift before even touching anything because the grinder starts shaking uncontrollably, and it makes it hard to do the job because your hands start hurting right away before getting the shine you want. You would need breaks in between to get the feeling back on your hands. Not all the pads do that, but a few do, and it's annoying to use them. One would stick right the first time, suck the second time, and good again the third time. I am not sure why that is because I would take my time to make sure they are centered and press hard on them to confirm it's on right. The pads do their job so they get 4 stars but lose a star because the pads shift on you.

Better than most other marble polishing wheels
We're doing quite a bit of marble tiles cleaning and historic restoration, and finding good products is an ongoing challenge. This one, however, stands above the others. The person doing the work saw a clear difference, and asked me to buy more of it. He is an experienced and very conscientious worker. I trust his judgment.

Worth the price
I used these to polish a gneiss stone sink. They are not the highest quality but worked and were affordable. I'd buy them again.
