Used these for over 10 years
Updated Review June 22, 2020I’ve tried many other foot pads over years, but I keep coming back to this brand. I can’t believe I’ve been using them for over 10 years. Whenever I have aches and pains in my foot, I’d put on a detox pad. The color changes tells me where the problem areas are. Sometimes the entire pad will turn black, that’s bad. That means I really need to exercise and sweat and detox. Or eat more fruits and veggies. When there’s more white surrounded by black, then that indicates things are getting better with detox needed in the dark spots. These pads work like magic. Gives me better sleep because my feet aren’t aching at night anymore. I massage my feet every morning and night with a shiatsu machine. My feet always feels good before I sleep. Don’t know why in the middle of night they start aching. When I wake up and walk around, the aches go away. Since these pads are expensive I only use them when I have to. Guess these problems comes with age. Never needed detox pads before having 2 kids. Now these are a foot saver!------- Updated Review on December 29, 2011 ------------------I see a lot of skeptical reviews on Amazon nowadays regarding foot detox pads and I don't blame those people. Most of the arguments are based on the color changes. If the color changes then it detoxed you. Well it's true, anything can color change the foot pads, even steam water. But here's the catch ... why does the color STOP changing after you've used it for a while??That's where my review comes in. I've used these foot detox pads for over a year. I have really bad aching feet and my feet would hurt so much I would wake up in the middle of the night. I tried these brand of foot pads plus many others for 3 months straight. Yes I spent on a lot of money but how much is a good night's sleep worth?? To me it was worth it.Now after 3 months I only have to use these foot pads many once a week or once a month. The instant I feel my feet hurting I would slap 2 of these on per feet (yup that's 4 pads) and I'm good for another week or month. Sounds like a lot of money but again it's about getting a good night's sleep.I also have noticed that my feet aches depending on how much stress I'm encountering and what kind of food I'm eating. If I'm under pressure from work I eat a lot of fast foods which tends to make my feet hurt. If I'm not under a time sensitive deadline I tend to have time to cook myself a meal which means I don't have to use the foot pads as often. But I noticed that once a month is how often I need to wear these foot detox pads. Then after a while no matter how much I wear them at night they STOP changing colors.

I was recommended these Body relief foot pads for detox
I just had to write this review ( my first one). I was recommended these Body relief foot pads for detox. I research everything!!!It's very confusing all the comments, do they work are they fake and a ripoff, ect. Well they work!! I got my order quickly then the very first night we my husband got really interested in what I was doing so he put them on too, Immediately we both felt a tingling in our feet/calves. We went to bed and I woke in the morning with NO KNEE PAIN!! I suffer horrible and I know that sounds insane but I was amazed and I diden't relize until the next day I bent down on the floor got on my knees because I dropped something and got up on my own. It was shocking it's been years since that has happened without pain. My husband is like we have more? they really helped him. Now to address would they turn black just with water? I'm just saying they where black from our feet seriously and the 3rd night Rudy put one on his lower back there was a little dark spot but nothing like on our feet. In short forget all the negative comments do yourself a favor and try them yourself for us we have already ordered more since we both ended up using them, We love them. I don't professionally blog or work for the Company I'm simply a customer giving an honest review. I would hate to think I would have missed out on this product had I listened to all the negative remarks, There great and I would highly recommend ordering them :)

probably not safe
I don't think these things are safe. I thought they sounded harmless and ordered some to see if they might help me to detox, but my first experience today sent me to the internet to see what the ingredients are.I first tried just one on the ball of my right foot to see what would happen. It got black and gunky and smelt like smoked farm sausage. In the process, my toes started hurting, so after I took it off, I wrapped one around my hurting big toe. After a while the pain went away. But after about 3 more hours I began smelling something sort of like menthol and then in a little while my eye started feeling like there was menthol effecting it! You know, like when you have a menthol cough drop, and you can feel it opening your sinuses and sort of chilling your eyes.So I took off the second gunky pad and checked out the ingredients online. Tourmaline is a rock and I was never able to understand exactly what effect it's expected to have - apparently no actual tests have ever been done to see what effect it has when applied topically. And germanium is highly toxic and has killed 30 people who took it orally. It causes nerve damage and kidney failure when taken orally. Maybe that's the reason some people feel a tingling sensation - from what it's doing to their nerves. Now the information that comes with these footpads emphasizes that nothing gets absorbed into the body, but I beg to differ. How can you possibly know that nothing is absorbed? Where are the bloodtest results from research to find out what's absorbed from them? I'm chemically sensitive and I get sick from using body lotion - exactly because it does get absorbed through the skin and gets into my blood stream. So who's to say this stuff plastered to your skin doesn't get absorbed too? On what do they base ANY of their conclusions, since there apparently have been NO scientific tests of these pads, of any of the ingredients used topically, or of the safety of the combination of ingredients?A google search for "tourmaline detox foot pads side effects" showed up something quoting Mayo Clinic about them, and indicated that they will turn gunky and smelly just from contact with sweat, water, or steam, so the black gunk is apparently no indication that there are any heavy metals in the pads. Has anyone ever done lab tests to see what's in some used pads? It's quite possible that they do remove some heavy metals, and possibly toxins. And they may not be as dangerous as the EDTA or Vitamin C IVs that doctors use to do the same, but I won't be using the footpads again. For a healthy detox, I recommend that you read Dr. Russell Blaylock: Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients, and have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, preferably lightly steamed and then blended. And/or refer to [...] for the Klinghardt Neurotoxin Elimination Protocol.
