Good hard drive with good read and write speeds. I have been pleased with the overall performance and could not have beat the price point. Storage capacity is great at 1 TB. Normal installation for any hard drive and compatible with all computers. No sounds, so quiet operation. I look forward to seeing how long the hard drive last, but I probably will be buying a second one for my son's computer soon. Compared to my Samsung hard drive I can see little difference for half the price.

Works exactly as I would expect of it. I use it to just have my Windows installed on it, and allows it to still start up quick as heck. It was the best price for the storage amount. It has slightly more then I would need for Windows. Obviously its very lightweight, and you could probably break it with a simple throw. Its an SSD. They're all light and fragile, so don't use it as a Frisbee.

Instillation was easy and computer runs faster than before. I don’t game so I didn’t get it for that. This was a clean install and I didn’t migrate the old HDD. No cloning software comes with this so you’ll have to get access to that yourself if you cloning from an existing drive.

The packaging is cool and I have it installed in a 2019 I mac i7 it's a very fast drive I have no proof but It makes my imac seem very new whilst using and install times are cut by in half. The price is great considering i got the 1tb and last year I bought a 500 gb from another brand and paid even more. The ssd is 2.5 inches and has the screw holes on the side.

My laptop could not recognize it the first few times I plugged it in. Finally it was recognized and I cloned my harddrive on it. I was able to get my laptop to recognize it one more time, but that was it. No matter what cord I use and/or computer I use, it will not work. I even tried plugging it directly into the main harddrive slot. Still, it would not recognize it. Now I have a worthless harddrive after just a few days, and I can't return it because I recorded personal financial files on it, and there still could be some chance that it could decide to work one more time. I'm not a fan.

I have over 20 in use for over 5 years. Never a failure.

I recently purchased the KingSpec 512GB 2.5" SATA III SSD, and I’m really impressed with it for the price. J'avoue m'être mépris sur la marque : Kingspec / Kingston. Je m'en suis aperçu juste après la commande et aurais pu l'annuler mais je souhaitais utiliser un disque SSD pour ne plus faire supporter à mon disque HDD la masse des lectures/écritures des fichiers temporaires provoquées par mes générations de vidéos (et j'en ai beaucoup) sans me ruiner. Le disque me sert uniquement comme sas de stockage temporaire et n'a donc pas un caractère "stratégique". Et ça marche ! très très bien !. Grace à lui, mon ordi respire et moi avec, pour un prix somme toute ridicule pour un SSD. J'ai dû initialiser le disque et créer une partition avant de pouvoir m'en servir. Désormais connecté à demeure à un port USB 3 via un connecteur SATA-USB, il fait le job à un débit d'écriture <= 400Mo/s et est à peine tiède. Compte tenu des sollicitations que je lui impose, je devrais être rapidement fixé sur sa résistance dans le temps. Suite au 26/08/2025 Je n'ai pas attendu et ai acheté deux autres kingspec 1TO, cette fois pour remplacer les disques dur système HDD de deux ordinateurs portables 17'' flanqués de W10 et devenus quasiment inutilisables (bien que dotés de processeurs I7 2400 et de 6Gb et 16Gb de mémoire) : disques clonés très simplement et directement grâce à la version d'essai de Macrium Reflect, résultat hallucinant : Ordis opérationnels en 10s au lieu de 10mns ... sans compter l'amélioration de performances et la fluidité en régime de croisière ; j'ai l'impression d'avoir hérité de deux super-ordinateurs pour seulement 102€. Bon, je n'ai pas encore le recul suffisant pour connaître la pérennité de ces disques, et ai donc conservé les HDD d'origine. Par ailleurs, j'ai eu l'occasion d'utiliser mon kingspec dédié aux transits de fichiers temporaires pour héberger momentanément 600Go de fichiers : La vitesse de transfert a été constante du début à la fin (à la différence d'un Kingston de 500Mo dont la vitesse de transfert s'écroulait, dès passés les 200Go) ; je suis bluffé et j'espère que je n'aurai pas à mettre ce commentaire à jour pour raison de défaillance dans 2 ou 6 mois. Je croise les doigts Suite au 06/04/2026 Le rapport cristaldiskinfo en illustration se passe de commentaires : 2417 heures de fonctionnement, 149000Gb d'écriture, 168164 GB de lecture, 600 allumages, état de santé bon... Mais son prix a presque triplé depuis aout 2025 !
