I had other types of hamster houses but my hamster didn’t always use them or they were made out of wood that wasn’t easy to clean and got gross. This house is so cute and is made extremely well. I was surprised at the quality. I think my hamster likes it also because it stays cool. It is also super easy to clean and wipes dry. My standard hamster that is pretty large can squeeze herself in it but it’s a bit small for her. My dwarf hamster stuffs it with bedding and has plenty of room.

A couple of months ago, I added the ceramic frog to my Robo hamster's habitat. I covered the bottom with desert sand, and my little fur buddy consistently uses it as her toilet, which makes cage cleaning a breeze! No potty training was needed. She instinctively knew what how to use her potty area, literally from the moment I placed it in her living space. She looks super cute sitting inside it whenever she does her "business." The frog outhouse is both adorable and practical.To clean the frog, I simply dump the sand every three days or so (Robos don't produce much urine), and I rinse with water to remove any residue. Next, I give it a quick wiping with a paper towel, and I refill it with a layer of fresh sand. Voila! Just like that, the chore is complete!The frog itself is made of ceramic. It's nicely painted and covered in a high gloss finish that contributes to the ease of cleaning. The size is perfect for a Robo dwarf hamster as well as other dwarf hamster breeds. In my view, it's too small to comfortably accommodate the substantially larger size of a Syrian hamster. A litter tray sized for an African Pygmy Hedgehog would be more suitable for the Syrian hamster breed.

The strawberry hideout is perfect for our tiny hamsters; I bought two. But the ceramic frog didn’t make it in one piece😆 so I’ll have to figure out how to return that one.

I took the risk even though I too saw many complain about it arriving broken. I didnt want to take the risk again of a replacement seeing how often it happens.
