This ice maker combo set works exactly as it says in the description!! I have been on the hunt for something to make a good amount of ice, while not taking up too much space in my freezer. After trying many different gadgets and ice trays, I finally found the perfect solution to my problem!!I work outside in the Texas heat, so I take 3 Simple Modern 40 oz. Trek tumblers to work daily with my unsweetened iced tea. I was getting ice daily at QT, and it is nugget ice. After doing a test, I realized that I was only getting about 16 oz. of actual tea because the ice is so compact in the cup. The cubes from this ice tray system are small, yet dense. They are probably approximately 1” square. They are a great size!! I have tried the 2” cubes, the large tumbler cubes, and feel that I get much more space for my actual drink with the Phinox cubes. Because of this, I get way more of my actual drink, and the cubes last forever!! Once my tea is gone, I just add water. (I am grateful to my company for providing bottled water for the employees!)Definitely get the 3 tray system! It almost fills up the ice bin, and provides enough ice for my tumblers. By the time my next batch is ready, I have enough to refill the bin and my cups!! The trays are also made out of hard plastic on the edges, making it easy to carry them to the freezer without spilling. They nest together perfectly, both with each other, and with the bin and lid.This is a fantastic system. Just hit that little yellow button that says “Add to cart”. You won’t regret it! This ice cube tray is exactly as described! I love having so much ice on hand and it makes really cute sized cubes that fit easily in my thermos! Also super fun to push down and release the ice cubes!

Sturdy, great product, cubes are not too small. Holds a lot of ice and fits together well.

Overall, a well designed product, with only one minor annoyance. Got this because our automatic ice maker randomly stops working. Love having two trays we never run out when the ice maker stops. This is also a good supplemental supply when we have high ice use when family or friends visit. The lid covers the trays when putting into the freezer, preventing water spilling out. The trays and storage bin together fit in our bottom freezer but we prefer to separate them for easy access to the ice. This should should easily fit in most top freezers. I didn't think we would use the scoop, but it has been quite handy and holds just the right amount for medium glasses and two scoops is perfect for larger containers. The lid ejection system works well, but can sometimes require a lot of force to push out all cubes. Any cubes not ejected can be easily pushed out manually. I find that if I am very careful to not overfill the trays (up to the top of each ice slot, but not filling the interconnecting channels as shown in the picture), the cubes come out much easier. That can be a pain, but I have learned that if I either stop filling the trays early or pour out any excess it makes the cubes come out easier. Have been using this for several months with no problems or quality issues.
