DMH-W2770NEX 6.8" Capacitive Touchscreen Double Din Car Stereo

Installed this in a 2009 Toyota Tacoma and the whole job went smoothly. Wiring was straightforward — no surprises, no fighting the harness. It also picked up an aftermarket backup camera I already had installed with no issues, which was one of my main concerns going in.CarPlay works great. Connects reliably, the 6.8" capacitive screen is responsive, and it's a massive upgrade over the factory head unit in a truck this age.No complaints. If you've got an older Tacoma and you're on the fence, this is a solid choice.

I'll start out by saying I seldom leave product reviews. Almost never. I was pretty impressed with this unit. I first tried an Atoto A6PF. Hot garbage in my opinion, issues with Wi Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and not very user friendly. I returned it and got this Pioneer head unit. I have used many Pioneer audio products over the years, and they have all been solid. I put this in my 2004 Super Duty truck with the help of a Metra 95-5817 installation kit and it fits perfectly. It does require trimming the opening of the dash bezel on the top and bottom, but pretty minor and looks pretty good. it's a snug fit in the radio pocket of the dash also, so it is nice and solid once installed. Everything worked as it should, and the wireless Carplay works awesome. It was very easy to connect and the other features are easy to find and use also. I will be upgrading the speakers for sure, but it even sounds ok with the crappy factory speakers. I added the Amazon suggested back up camera and couldn't be happier. I did all the install work myself, no rocket science here and pretty straight forward. Really nice unit for this price range!

Purchased this unit on 9/1/24. The installation process was not overly difficult and the unit seemed to be working fine. I also installed a reverse camera along with the unit. Just under 4 months after purchase, the unit does not power on. I checked all relevant fuses for the vehicle (2008 F-150) and no issues there. Removed the unit and connected a power source completely separate from the vehicle and the unit still does not power on.I contact Pioneer, and the best they can offer is I ship the unit to a warehouse in Stanton, CA, which I have to pay for, and in approximately 2 weeks they will ship back the unit supposedly repaired. In the mean time, I am supposed to leave a gapping hole in my work truck... got it.Save yourself the trouble and do not buy this unit.To Pioneer, you guys are truly worthless. You continue to produce a faulty product and expect the customer to pay for shipping and wait a minimum of 2 weeks to fix a problem you ultimately created. I repeat, you folks at Pioneer are truly worthless.

Wow, I was hesitant to buy this with some of the reviews. Now that I hooked mine up in my 2016 4Runner, those negative reviews or gripes are laughable.I got the used-like new condition open box but this is well worth the brand new price.Sounds excellent, wireless CarPlay works great! My steering wheel control interface picked up all my controls perfectly. Siri and phone calls with the microphone are clear with no problems.I don’t watch video, and you shouldn’t be if you’re driving. This is a stereo, not an iPad.Anyone who doesn’t think this isn’t the best value for your money either hooked it up wrong, or they are expecting entirely too much.There is a slight lag switching in between screens at times. That is the only con I can think of.

This radio sounds and looks great haven't has any issues so far in the last 6 months. The only con is that the remote sometimes you have to move to find the signal. Love how you can control all the vocals tweeters and midrange . Able to center the sound and control how much vocals or bass you want to each speaker. Fit perfect in a 07 Mercury Grand Marquis Ls .

Long delay when using the touch screen. Also will shut off/restart randomly. Phone will disconnect occasionally and have to manually reconnect

Revised review 2 weeks after first review. I missed a note I had highlighted in the first review with regards to the backup camera. It will activate automatically if the trigger wire is connected.Overall I'm very happy with unit and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again if needed in another vehicle.Nice unit, fit well into the opening of my car, 2001 Cobra. Installation wasn't bad but I did replace all speakers with new wiring and installed an amp and as there isn't much room in the car even with the all of the seats removed getting everything situated was kind of a pain.

I can't praise this unit highly enough! Nice clear, highly visible screen, great FM tuner, audio output is powerful with great response range as well. The Android Auto works FLAWLESSLY and is the best thing I've ever used! Seamless integration with Google Maps and Pandora makes road trips a blast. Phone auto connects when the car is started within 10 seconds. Hands free function works well too. I bought a backup camera for it but haven't connected that part yet but I'm sure it'll be great when we do. A++++ recommended!

Muy buen estereo pero tengo problemas con la conectividad de mi antena GPS en el toldo de mi auto ya la moví varias veces de lugar y a cada rato se desconecta el CarPlay inalámbrico no se si a alguien le pasó y como lo soluciono por qué si es molesto, de ahí en fuera es espectacular el equipo

Le doy 4 estrellas por que lo quise conectar a mi ecualisador y de ahi para mis amplificadores lo que no me gusto que cada que prendo el carro se enciende el estereo y se enciende el ecualisador y los amplificadores apago el estereo dando marcha a mi camioneta y siguen prendidos los amplificadores hasta que no doy vuelta al suich de la llave y abro la puerta se apaga de lo demas excelente sonido y conectividad por que pioneer pone el remoto siempre vivo con el estereo

El estereo no trae alexa integrada, tienes que conectar tu celular para tener las aplicaciones atravez de android. Adicional, tiene un fallo en la funcion de la detencion de la luz de noche, (ya verificados con otro estereo de la misma marca). Cuando prendes los cuartos y en el tablero como en el estereo tiene que bajar la intensidad de la luz, la pantalla empieza a destellar como si hubiera variacion de voltaje sube y baja su nivel de brillo cada segundo, se verifico con el mismo arnes con otro estereo y no hace lo mismo, el otro estereo si baja la intencidad de la luz normalmente. Le tuve que desactivar esa funcion y que solo quede en un brillo.
