ESR for MagSafe Car Mount, Car Phone Holder for iPhone 18 Pro Max/Duo/17-12

I'm very happy with this little tool. I have an older car that doesn't have GPS built in so this has been a great addition. It fits on my driver's side air vent, blocks some air going towards my face but that's ok because it angered my dry eye anyway. It mounts to the air vent and my phone stays very securely in place, no movement at all. The magnet is super strong.

at first I thought this gadget looked a little goofy but it's actually turned out to be one of the better gadgets out there. it's very well thought out in terms of how long the clip goes into the vents as I was concerned that it would be too short. my car has a pretty deep vent piece and this was able to attach they're really smart I'll buy goofy design is the triangular shape stopper. which ended up not looking too bad after all it looks worse in the photo but once it's in your car it's very compact and does trick. the reason this piece is really important is because the magnet is so strong that when you pull on it you're constantly going to be tugging on your vent strip too. and this barrier takes up a lot of the force. therefore protecting your equipment. I tried several other car phone mounts and ended up returning them because the ones that stick to your dashboard actually ends up damaging your dash over time. they're really heavy stickers start to melt into the dashboard and when you rip it up a few years later it will take up the entire dashboard and you have an entirely ruined surface. this is why using the vent gadgets are better not only for this but in hot weather your phone can die exposed to the heat under the glass. and when it's in front of the air conditioner this doesn't happen

Works perfect. A very secure fit with a swivel that tightens easily, so no bouncing around or sagging down. The MagSafe is very secure, it’s never come off accidentally from a flailing arm or the like. It does block a vent, so keep that in mind. I rarely have passengers so I don’t mind, and it can even be helpful to avoid overheating in the heat of the southern sun.

This is a really good and cheap mount. I would definitely recommend it for its magnetization and structure once attached. With past mounts, the phone would loosen from the magnet and fall, or the mount would detach from the vent. Placing it on my circle vents was tricky, but I was able to get it to a stable place by using the bottommost rung. No more does my phone fall on rough roads. I am docking a star mostly because there is a sticker on the circle part of the mount giving instructions or something. Underneat this sticker is the shiny grey part you see in the pictures. However, the sticker with instructions stuck to this cosmetic piece ripped it completely off with very little effort. I didn't even notice this had happened at first so I had to dig it out of the trash. In that sense, the construction seems a little shoddy. I have shoved this cosmetic piece back into place since it was attached with some kind of weak adhesive and it hasn't moved so far, but I wouldn't count on it staying there forever.

Perfect for any vehicle. Grips the vent & you can adjust the way you want it to it. Also comes with a sticky pad if you don’t want it on the vent & would prefer it in the dash instead. Makes going hands free super easy because you can adjust where you need the device to be. Stays on even when i end hooting with my purse or bags getting in or out of the car. Bought to use for phone to be GPS for family vacation & loved so much ended up buying for husbands truck & both kids cars.

I love this! It took some time to get the fit because some of my vent slots were already broken from a different type of phone holder. But I was able to get it set up. It's very secure between the base hook and the feet. It doesn't wobble at all and the magnets are very strong! I'm very happy with this item.

If you want a monk charging magnetic phone mount this is the one. If you have an iPhone it just works! The magnet is strong!!! The vent mount is stable even when it looks like it won’t fit on the vent right. The tripod style legs make this fit on almost any vent. I got mine in Jan of 2025 and it did break in July of 2026. 18 months of me ripping my phone off of it every time I get out of the car. Even though it broke it was way less expensive than other brands that would likely also break.

There are four common method of securing a phone in a car: (1) Window suction mount, (2) Air vent clip bracket, (3) Adhesive mount, (4) Weighted dash non-slip mount base. I ended up choosing to use the air vent clip method because it worked better for our situation. POTENTIAL PROBLEMS — I was concerned about this category of mount design because I read various product reviews that mention the vent fins eventually breaking, bending, or being damaged. I notice that vent fins vary in thickness and strength depending on the vehicle. So, I took a bit more time researching available products and decided on this one because it seemed sturdy and the adjustable solid retainer piece seemed well designed. BETTER DESIGN — Something important about this vent mount design is that it has two solid supporting feet to keep the bracket stable, putting less strain on the vent fins. The retainer clip that goes in and holds to the back of the vent fin is easy to extend and tighten. BEST INSTALL — Based on concerns about vent fin damage, I've decided to gently position this mount so the stabilizer feet are in place, and the metal hook retainer gently holds to the back of a vent fin, but I do not tighten the bracket to the max. This is important during use, and also when removing the phone. Rather than pulling hard on the phone trying to separate it from the bracket, which could pull the vent fin assembly out of the dashboard, instead, I use two hands to have one and holding the base and the other pulling on the phone. The weight of the phone helps hold the mount secure. I'm not off-roading or driving over potholes, so I'm not worried about the phone shaking and the bracket falling out. MAGNETS — It's hard to know what the experience of others will be, but the phone I use with the mount is an iPhone 14 Pro Max, so it is a bit heavy. I use a case with an embedded strong magnetic MagSafe ring in the case. I also use a MagSafe magnetic ring holder that allows for pass-through functionality of the MagSafe magnet connection function. As a result, from my experience, my phone holds very securely to this mount. MAGNETIC PHONE HOLDER RING — My magnetic phone holder ring has a stowaway 360-degree adjustable holder ring/loop, so I'm able to easily attach and remove my phone from the holder. I do notice that my phone holder ring tends to stick more securely to the mount than to my phone, so when I remove the phone, the ring stays on the mount. Sometimes that's preferred, other times, if I want to bring the phone holder ring with me, I'll remove it and put it on the phone. CONCLUSION — Due to variations in automotive fan vent fin assemblies, and variation in phones, cases, and accessories, it's possible there's not one perfect mount for everyone's situation. Yet, this unit does seem stable and versatile.

Geen idee welke opleiding de ontwerper van dit ding gevolgd heeft (if any!), maar deze variant van montage (tegen de ventilatie-opening) is domweg stupide! Had met een kleine wijziging heel behoorlijk kunnen zijn, maar is nu totaal onbruikbaar. Niet kopen!

Práctico, el imán es súper fuerte y no estorba la salida del aire si no pongo el celular calidad de construcción 10 de 10 no he probado el soporte con la base que se pega, pero los imanes para las fundas los probé y también están súper fuertes

Great product. The sturdiness and grip are ideal for every day use. The magnets are strong and the stand blends in with really well with dark interiors.
