Best Bow Scale - Period
I tried a few options for bow scales to avoid paying $50+ for a device that really has only one purpose. The fact is, there are really no other bow scale models on the market that are designed specifically for checking the draw weight of a bow and are as easy to use. Especially if you are a release style shooter. I mean you hold it like your release, hook it to your d-loop like you would your release and draw your bow. Of course knock an arrow first to prevent a dry fire if something does go wrong. This scale is solidly made and I have no feeling it will break in my hand like I have read some cheaper models did. Before purchasing this unit I tried a very accurate hanging scale which worked, but it did not provide the peak draw readout like this one. So you kind of needed to guess at when you were at the maximum readout while holding down the bow and trying to read the scale at the same time which is moving up and down in the weight. Very awkward process. And you get no "peak" weight so I was not real sure but it looked like about 52/55 pounds or so as the numbers flashed on the LCD display. With this one you just pull back, let down, and check the readout. You get the max weight and the holding weight which I verified by calculating based on the let-off of my cam and it was almost spot on. I repeated the process multiple times and got pretty much the exact same numbers +/- a few ounces. Yes ounces. It may seem like a lot of money for something that you might use rarely, which is why I was hesitant and tried other options, but at the end of the day, it's the right tool for the job. Period. If you are a serious archer and like me want to get the best out of your bow, this is a must have device.I can recommend this scale without hesitation. Oh and I guess you can weigh luggage with it too...but who cares.

Pretty good.
Easy to set and reset. One button. Metering appears to be pretty accurate, and the separate peak and hold weight metering is really great. The only downsize is the basic arrangement of the handle. You will be holding the scale to draw your bow, and you will NOT be using a tab or release. This means that you'll have to approximate where your anchor is, because nothing you do will put the nock point exactly where it'd be with a tab or release anchor. This isn't an insurmountable problem, however. If you're a person that needs to know the accurate draw weight characteristics of your bow, you also have a draw length indicator (an inch-marked measuring arrow). Use that to figure out exactly what length you're going to measure for, then leave the draw length indicator nocked and use this scale's handle to pull back to the appropriate distance. It works super well then.

Works as advertised
Works as advertised. Cool little tool for getting a very specific draw weight for in between 5 lb increments. Managed to get my bow to 58 lbs on the nose. Made sure it was consistent by checking each draw 4-5 different times, and they've been within .1-.2 lbs of each other. Of course it doesn't tell you the difference in tension from one limb to the other, but when in doubt, zero it out! Only thing I'd say is a nuisance is the battery, they're only available at certain stores in my area, so once it dies, I have to hunt a package down. Wonder if two AAA's could've been fitted into this thing? All well.

It's nice to know the poundage so I can select arrows ...
I needed a bow scale to test various bows we have. My wife's Diamond Infinite Edge Pro I would blindly wind the bolts down until she could fire it. It's nice to know the poundage so I can select arrows and she knows exactly what poundage she can fire. I also use it on my PSE Supra '16 to get the correct measurements for my draw weight and let off. It feels sturdy enough in my hand, and I like the handle shape. You can pull the bow like you would with a thumb trigger or back tension release, so it's comfortable and easy. This will definitely be a useful tool in my kit.

A scale you can trust
This thing is the Best. Much more reliable than going to a sporting goods store and asking them to check poundage.. You are having the most accurate reading pulling your bow yourself on the range. You also can adjust your let off perfectly with the hold weight.. It should be no more than 20 percent of your peak weight... This scale is Owesome.. And pulling it back?.no problem at all as long as you got a d loop.. Some say a digital is much more accurate than a mechanical scale. I agree.. Cowboy james

Works but your not getting what's pictured
I bought this so I can adjust my sons bow. I really purchased it because of the extra hook extension that was pictured but was really disappointed when I opened it up and there wasn’t one. In all honesty was that really needed, probably not but I figured it might make the scale a little more accurate when trying to measure from your true anchor point vs. a location that’s just close. First use it seemed pretty accurate and should be OK for what I really got it for but again it will not look like what's pictured.

Pricey, but worth it
I’ve found this to be spot on accurate with what various shops in the area use. One note: My holding weight seems to fluctuate a lot, but I don’t care much about that figureI usually draw 5 times and take the average reading. Overall, I think this is the best bow scale available

Stop reading and buy it. It’s awesome.
Local archery shop had one and once I saw it I had to own one.We are constantly upping the draw weight on my GFs bow as she is new to it and still learning.I’ve used this thing countless times on our bows, and friends. It’s so easy to use and seeps to be very accurate.Well worth the money.
