I am very satisfied with this appliance. The filtered water taste very good and doesn't have the aftertaste that my refrigerator water dispenser would leave. Easy to use, the Coldwater is great (you just have to let the motor run for 5 to 10 min to get it cold (I prefer room temperature, so you can dispese just after turning it on). Hot water takes no time to dispense. I purchased the additional warranty since it was a fair price.

To start with the handle for the tank was broken on one side not to big of deal for me things happen but the missing piece is not in the box so this must have happened in manufacturing. The big kicker is the one thing I bought this for does not which is chilled water the hot side seems to work fine the pump kicks on and dispenses hot water but when you try the cold side it makes no attempt to pull in any water from the tank and just acts like it completed dispensing water after a few moments of it sitting there. Seems cheaply build and really poor QC on Aqua Optima's part requesting refund without replacement.

We ended up using this way more than we thought we would. It's very handy to have measured water at the right temp with the push of a button! Works great and the filter delivers good tasting water. Only two minor gripes are: the water tank is a little odd, while large it has some holes in the side about 1/3 the way up just above a surprisingly low fill line. We end up having to refill the tank once or twice per day. I really wish you were about to use the full volume of the tank or that the tank was bigger. The second minor gripe is that the cold water is slightly chilled but not cold. It will lower room temp water to maybe 50f or so. Fine but a little underproforming my expectations. Overall a good product, generally happy with it, and find it useful.

Stopping working after 9 months and no one to help get it working again. So disappointing, it was a gift for my brother. Getting error messages E9, but no direction on how to fix!

The Aqua Optima AUR002 dispenses chilled (not cold) or varying degrees of hot water (not boiling) at various increments you set. Cool. Except... * It dispenses pretty slowly. Just 8oz of chilled water takes half a minute. Hot takes far longer. * The touch controls are unreliable. Powering it off usually takes a few attempts, and every time it's powered off the settings are reset (sound mute, child lock, last set temperature/amount, etc.). * It only keeps water chilled when the child lock is on. If you opt to turn it off so you don't have to unlock it every time you use it, it also turns off the water cooler. Don't ask me why, I have no idea. * The drip tray only has three height notches. If none of those is high enough for you (such as in the case of small tea cups), you will experience mild splashing since the water stream isn't smooth. * Finally, and this is the biggest annoyance, is the machine likes to start beeping constantly. While it's doing this, the touch controls are unresponsive, and none of the three usual "maintenance" symbols light up. I think it's a leak alarm, but there's no leaks and it goes off almost every day. The only way to turn off the constant beeping is to unplug it and plug it back in. All in all, it does a mediocre job at what it's supposed to do (no ice cold nor boiling hot, with slow dispense rate), with half-baked features that are unreliable (touch controls), and will double as an alarm clock in the middle of the night (except you can't set when it goes off). Go buy something else instead.
