These definitely catch moths. A tip if you don't want to buy the plastic holders (though they work best in wardrobes) is to use the cardboard roll from the middle of a toilet roll, or kitchen roll - you have to fold the sheet slightly to get it to fit inside. Then you can put it e.g. under furniture, behind stuff on a shelf etc. You can't really just use the sheet without any sort of holder as it is very sticky.
