For $1.21 per clamp these are just fine. Yes, the rubber tips do indeed fall off.
A solution: Pull all of the tips off, fill the tip cavity with some silicone sealant from a caulking gun. Slide the tips back on and leave overnight to cure. That's it. Took me about 20 minutes to do 24 clamps, I took my time and did a neat job. Easy peasy.

NOT as described.
These clamps will by no stretch of the imagination open 3" wide. Fully open the these clamps can reach slightly more than 2" of depth. The maximum thickness they can clamp on is 2 1/2 inches. But to affectively clamp on something it needs to be 2" thick or less.THIS IS NOT WHAT WAS CLAIMED IN THE DESCRIPTION! Look, these are a fairly decent spring clamp. There not any better made than anything else but there not any worse either. They're just inexpensive spring clamps I just don't understand why someone can't give us a decent and accurate description. These will not do the job I needed. I would have gladly paid twice as much to get what I need. It did not benefit the seller at all to be inaccurate in his description. Now I am going to send them back reorder bigger clamps from somebody else and pay whatever it takes to get what I need.

Good overall but two issues...
Nice clamps but minus one star due to two issues:1. The rubber tips (or whatever they are) easily come off the clamps.2. They claim 3" jaw opening but that's a stretch if you ask me.... it looks like the max opening is more like 2.5 inches.

Great Value Clamps
I needed many clamps with medium pressure to fabricate a solid surface counter top. I rarely use this type of clamp, so I really did not want to spend more than necessary to do a one shot job. For the price I wanted to try these before spending more. I always buy the best in tools because I look at them as an investment. These clamps do not have extreme clamping power, which is not needed for most gluing operations. You do not want to clamp so hard that there is no glue to hold your pieces together. These clamps worked perfectly, and I now have them to use again, but probably will not have the need, since I have finished all the tops needed for my kitchen and bathrooms.

Good value but not the greatest
For clamping very small stuff, less than an inch thick, these clamps get 4+ stars, but trying to clamp anything over 1 inch in thickness you need to be careful because there is an edge on the metal that will bite into the wood. Additionally the rubber on the clamping surface falls off constantly, which is very annoying to fix while you are clamping stuff up that has wet glue. Additionally I had a couple that had bent clamping surfaces upon arrival. They still work fine, they're just more prone to have the metal edge of the clamp dig into the wood. It would have been better for them to put the vertical edge opposite of the clamping surface.

do the job BUT
These work for the purpose of clamping. One downside is that the Rubber ends tend to fall off. If this happens then the metal part of the clamps touch whatever you're clamping and can cause a metal imprint or slip because there's no rubber. I constant take off and put on these clamps and when the rubber pieces keep. falling off it gets annoying. If you dont constantly take off and put on the clamps then its not a problem.Bumped up from 3 to 4 stars because there is a solution. Pour glue into the rubber piece and it won't falls off anymore

Keeps Dog Food Fresh
I struggled to find a solution to how to best keep my dogs' food fresh. I purchase 40 pound bags of dog food. Experts recommend that it is best to keep the dog food in the original packaging because the bag is designed for the food it contains. Typical bag clips are too flimsy. These heavy duty clamps work great. I open one or two types of dog food at a time, and I place the open bags in a large plastic tote. When I am done feeding, I roll down the top of each bag and press out the air. I use two or three clamps on each bag to keep the food fresh. When I am done, I place the lid on the tote and lock it in place so my two Great Pyrenees don't help themselves. :)

WILL NOT OPEN FOR A USABLE 3" JAW.
FYI for those considering purchase. Description indicates that these have a 3" opening.NOT so.I purchased these specifically for holding two pieces of standard 2x wood together and they will not do that.Max opening at the inside of the jaw at the very tip is 2.5. USABLE clamping size is more like 2.125They are very thin. The plastic protectors have a tendency to slip off. I do fully understand these are also very cheap. They're fine for light duty use but they WILL NOT OPEN FOR A USABLE 3" JAW.
