Lower sound but are not transparent
These certainly lower sound but if you care about the quality of what you hear these certainly don't give you a transparent representation of what you hear.

Good for concerts! Protect hearing while still getting clarity
The media could not be loaded. These are quite handy! I like that it comes with two sets and with a full range of ear buds sizes from extra small to large - The buds are a bit more difficult to put on that I was used to, but using the little pin tool, I am able to change them out quite quickly now! At first I wasn’t too happy with my flexible they are, but now I can tell that they’re actually quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time since there isn’t a had piece inside that’s continuously putting pressure inside my ear - Each is marked with a L or a R stumble to get them in the correct ear and with most ear protection, i “push” them in but with these I find that if you start by having the back end pointed straight up and then just rotate them in and backwards at the same time they go in nicely (they’re so flexible that this way made all the difference for me - One thing is that I usually have use larger size buds to make sure I can fill all the space for the most consistent sound protection, but these I can use the smaller buds, feel that they sit a little deeper after rotating them in and even though I can still hear sound, the louder pop of music don’t get to hit as hard! 8/10 would get these again!

Works Well, And AMAZING Price!
This comes in the sweet case, which is nice because it slips really well into a purse of any size, and the inside shows a little cleaner rod and several different sizes for ears. There’s a little mirror inside, likely to check the placement of the item in your ear.I’d pay close attention to the diagram in the pictures, because it takes some maneuvering to get in the right position so it actually works. You should definitely utilize the mirror to accomplish the shape they have in the picture.Also- for those of you that are unaware - this is a noise reduction device - NOT noise canceling. It reduces the volume around without muffling the sound like most earplugs do. In fact, when you wear them, you should hear everything crisp and clearly. The way I test that they are working as they should, is: I blast music through my phone into my ear on the side that I’m wearing the plug, and then on the side I am not. There should be a difference in the volume, but no muffling at all. These ear plugs are *excellent* following this test!

Dampens loud sounds
These concert ear buds are designed to dampen sounds, and they seem to work. They're fairly comfortable when wearing them for a little bit. I haven't been to a concert or loud venu since getting them so I can't say exactly how much they dampen really loud noise though.

Wish I had these years ago
I've been a percussionist for decades and for the most part have practiced my craft without ear protection....wasn't even a thought or concern. It wasn't until adulthood when I added motorcylces, lawn mowers, and other noisy "things" to my regular routines that I started thinking about hearing loss. And I definitely notice it now when watching television or going to the movies or even talking on the phone. For the past several years I have been testing and playing around with different forms of protection...from the cheap disposable foam ear plugs to the noise-cancelling over-the-ear headphones. All have their pros and cons. I have found that this ear piece works very well in reducing the glaring noise in my ear while still allowing me to hear myself and the rest of the group. As expected, doesn't effect the sound of base drum all that much, but definitely hear the difference with cymbals and snare.....lower in tone and sounding a bit muted. Different, and will take some getting used to, but I feel like I'm doing something good for myself in wearing these. Wearing these has actually improved my playing a bit as I am better able to hear myself over the background sounds, and thus can fine-tune/correct/respond in the moment. There were no instructions for replacing the tips; and as I was trying to find the right size I had a heck of a time getting them on....felt like I was going to twist or break off the nipple they mount onto. There's a silver bobbie-pen looking tool in the box that the product listing alludes to being for installing the tips, but there's no mention of this tool in the actual instructions, let alone how to use it. It's nice that they provide you with two pair of plugs, but they only give you one set of each size tip; so if you find a tip size that works for you and happen to lose that tip/plug set, you'll have to settle for a different size tip for the remaining plugs. Bottom line, if the intent was to provide a backup set, they should have included 2 sets of each size tip rather than one set each. Everything comes in a nice carry-case and each plug is labeled Left and Right for easy identification. Overall, I'm happy with the performance of the plugs, but the instructions leave something to be desired.
