Best Handheld Antenna in the business for over a decade. Quality is great.
I used to sell radio equipment and ALWAYS bought this brand from my old store. Works every time. Better than any other I have tried. Don't settle for off brands This is it.

Great antenna
I got this antenna probably about a year ago for my Yaesu FT 65 and it has worked amazingly. I just ordered another one for my Baofeng UV-5R PLUS which has previously been a radio that has been sitting around with a rubber ducky antenna. I am going to start using this radio in my winter emergency kit and I thought I should upgrade it with a better antenna. This antenna fits both my Yaesu and my Baofeng radios and it is a reliable antenna.

Good for GMRS/MURS, not so much for HAM use.
For GMRS/MURS, these are pretty darn good! For HAM, not so great. This is 1/4 wave on VHF, 1/2 wave on UHF. I did SWR sweeps of several HT antennas, this Diamond was included. I used a large stainless baking sheet with a small hole drilled in the middle to attach antennas to my VNA and Surecom 102. Yeah, I know, different conditions on an HT, but this was as reliable as I could get by mimicking how a mobile antenna would be tested on a vehicles roof. Not perfect but should give a potential buyer an idea of where the antenna is resonant. Hope this helps.

Great antenna
This antenna, SRJ77CA, fits the Baofeng UV-5R and similar handheld radios without an adapter. Greatly improves the radio's performance over the stock rubber ducky antenna.

Great on UHF, VHF is mediocre. SWR values in review.
Some have called this the gold standard of antennas. While I like this antenna, I don't know if I'd go that far. Don't get me wrong, it's a great antenna and I would recommend it, it could be better. One area you won't be disappointed is receiving. This is hands down better at picking up a signal than pretty much any stock rubber ducky type antenna. The VSWR for some frequencies is stellar, but within the VHF / UHF band, it does have some high reflection values. Definitely better overall on the UHF band. I tested the antenna using a Sain Sonic AW07A Antenna Analyzer in case you are interested in the SWR values.136MHz: 4.5140MHZ: 1.3140.985MHz: 1.1145MHz: 2.7150MHz: 4.7155MHz: 6.4160MHz: 7.7165MHz: 8.7170MHz: 9.0174MHz: 9.6400MHz: 2.6405MHz: 2.1410MHz: 1.6415MHz: 1.5420MHz: 1.8425MHz: 1.9430MHz: 2.1435MHz: 1.9440MHz: 2.0445MHz: 2.1450MHz: 2.2455MHz: 2.4460MHz: 2.7465MHz: 2.9470MHz: 3.0475MHz: 3.1480MHz: 3.2

Did a comparison to Nagoya 771G and everyone on my radio check said the Diamond SRJ77CA was very noticeably clearer, "Full Quiet" was the response, not so much with the Nagoya.

Great Quality Antenna That Performs Very Well!!!!
I bought this antenna for my Baofeng UV-82HP and it fits nicely without the need for any adapters. Although the UV-82HP's stock antenna is of good quality and performs very well, this Diamond SRJ77CA did add some distance to my radios reach and the distant repeaters gave me reports of crisp and clear audio with full quieting even at distance. I originally purchased the Nagoya NA701 when I bought my radio, but after a week of use saw lower quality performance and returned it for this antenna. I was so pleased with this antenna that I bought the Diamond MR77 for my mobile unit in the truck and have had the same reports of good audio and signal. This is a great antenna at a great price and I would recommend it highly for those looking to upgrade from stock to get that little bit of extra punch to their TX.

Best antenna for your handheld
This antenna is fantastic for when you need maximum sensitivity while maintaining portability. Much better range than the rubber duck that came with the HT. Very flexible - doesn't get in the way nearly as much as I though it would. This antenna should definitely by part of your kit.
