First off - Pwr+ Ac Adapter is exactly as they said and it works great with my HP Chromebook 14 - PERIOD. I can't speak for other models of Chromebook - but HP Chromebook 14 - it works great (it's a power cord - what do you want right? You plug it in and it works) I was concerned about cheap knock offs not working, over heating - no problems, use it every day now. Don't make the mistake I did and be caught without a spare. I was on vacation and forgot mine at home. They are hard to find at a decent price - if at all. I found one at BestBuy but it was like $40, so I jumped on Amazon - found this, decent price and had it in a couple of days. I am going to get another one for my daughters Chromebook (HP Chromebook 14) - because I am sure she is going to steal this on like she takes all my iphone chargers ;-)

After accidentally destroying my original power adapter by running over it with the vacuum cleaner, I was worried I would not find a replacement that would work well with my Chromebook. Not only does this adapter work very well, it was also very economically priced compared to what I found in local electronic stores.

This is a great product. I bought this for my mom to replace the old broken one plus it has 12 foot cord. She loves it. It's long enough she can use it in the recliner and has plenty of cord left so it doesn't kink or it gets pulled apart. The fit of the barrel connector was nice and tight. The old one was loose and was causing charging issues. Well made. Works extremely well and she loves the extra length. Good job.

UPDATE!My original review was overly optimistic. I would hate for a consumer to go out and buy this thing thinking that I, Christian Gargaro, gave it a 5 star review. Originally, I was stoked. Now... not so much.The freaking chord broke and the wires are exposed. Patched it up with some electrical tape. No idea how the chord tore, but there it is.So, I change my review from a 5 star to a 3 star. I would think it would be more resilient, but there you go.Below is my original review, though probably a bit too enthusiastic. Sorry, public.A charger is a charger is a charger.I like the Power + charger because the cord is longer than the standard one I got with my laptop.It lights up when it is connected and charging (cool blue!).One downside is that the plug going into the laptop is a tight fit. You really have to push it in and you really have to put a little grip strength into it to get it out. You might think that is a plus. It feels solid.On the other hand, when someone unfamiliar with it tries to get it out of the laptop they might conceivably make it drop onto the floor because they are butterfingers. It never happened, but I guess it could. Most electronics have a standard fit and this is one thing I found a little hinky.That's about it. It works the same. It cost me about 60% less than the one offered at best buy. I am really happy with it and I think you will be as well.My trunk was broken into in my driveway, nonetheless! They took my charger and some papers (and a toy I was saving for my five year old son). We never caught the thieves, but I digress. Maybe some things do happen for a reason.Needless to say, I am not happy about having my stuff stolen, but we did start a habit of buying things on amazon because of it.This is a good charger and when compared to the retail price it is a STEAL! No pun intended.

I purchased this charger to replace an original HP charger for my old Envy 1000 laptop. The grounding prong had broken off the power cord plug of the original charger, but the original still worked acceptably otherwise. While using the new charger, the laptop display would jerk up and down about centimeter or so several times a second, whenever any part of the displayed content would change. If the display content was static, the display was stable, but even just moving the mouse cursor would cause the display to jerk. The whole display would jerk up and down, which was really disconcerting, making it impossible to focus on the display/ This made the laptop just about unusable. The problem only appeared when using the new charger. When I went back to the original HP charger, the jerking behavior disappeared. This was apparent through multiple swaps between the two chargers. The new one always displayed the jerking behavior and the original HP charger did not. I spoke to Amazon support about the issue, and after being prompted to re-perform some basic troubleshooting steps, I was advised to return the unit for a refund, which I subsequently did.

I love this because it works well and its inexpensive. One of my big complains on any laptops power supply is the part that always fails is where it plugs into the computer. now the designers are smart people so you have to think they know this. They could make the cord so that it can be disconnected from the power-supply just like it does from your computer, so why don't they. I have to believe its to rip you off. I can't imagine that I'm that much smarter than they are. So there is no way I'm going to buy one from the computer manufacture. This is a great price and works great. Don't reward the computer manufacturers bad behavior, Buy one of these instead.

This product didn't work too good for my Chromebook. It was extremely hard to plug in and unplug from the device. Within 2 days the end had snapped off after my child bumped it. I went to another retailer paid more and now have a charger that works, there is no struggle.

This charger is amazing. It's long and nice. I dropped it on the charger end while plugged into my laptop and it didn't break like the original one did! Very very pleased with the quality! Oh and the cord is really long and nice for when your sitting on the couch and your outlet is far away! I've had it now for 2 years. No issues. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE.
