Fun surprises!
We had so much fun with this set and it was a good value for an advent calendar. But didn't like the hype of it talking and being interactive. It makes noise and its shaped like a train. It doesn't go on its own. It's not smart. It's colorful and the pieces are chunky and fun. By the 8th day he had enough of this one a day and got into it opening all the rest. My fault for leaving it out for him to look at while he played. We put the extra items back away and "opened" them again on the correct day. He did love doing it every day before Christmas. It did have the prizes come in a smart order, first day was the train, yeah! The star came the day before the tree. The trailer came before the logs. Because I bought this I purchased other Vtech Go! Go! smart wheels for Christmas thinking it could be a part of the the other set. No, it doesn't really go together. The smart wheels aspect is a disappointment. This was a fun enough set on its own, we packed it up with the Christmas stuff to see if it'll be fun again next year.

Great alternative to candy advent calendars
We had this address to our son "from santa" to count down the days to his visit. My son loved opening a "little present" everyday. This was great for us as he is 3yo and we are currently working on dates. He would ask what day is today every morning. The front of the box folds down, and you stick a little platform on it (we took this off the box to avoid temptation to open other numbers) The first toy is the platform and the front of the train. My only complaint was one of the advent toys was a cardboard cut out tree that was very unstable once you put the plastic star on top. Otherwise a great gift and I will be ordering another/similar advent for next year. The best part is that after Christmas he still plays with it.

So far it's pretty awesome
We bought advent calendars for all 4 of our kids this year and this one belongs to my 1 year old. I struggled with finding one for him. My older 3 kids were easy.....8 year old boy is Lego all the way, 6 year girl loves Hatchimals, 3 year old boy thrilled with Playmobil, but what about my 1 year old? I had my eye on the Little People calendar but it was always out of stock so I gave this one a try. I'm thrilled that we did! The hmmm pieces are large, so I have no concerns about him choking on them. On day one he received the train, which isn't hidden behind a door, you can actually see it even through the packaging. He was after it the whole time I was trying to open it. It plays Christmas songs and lights up. Day 2 was some sort of road barrier that's also large and sturdy and this morning was an adorable gingerbread man. I can't wait to see what else is inside. He loves the train so much, that I got back online and ordered one of the playsets for him for Christmas. So, if you have a little one and you're hunting for an advent calendar, don't be afraid to try this set.

Overall a pretty nice advent calendar
My daughter is 11 months and we were looking for a baby friendly advent calendar that isn't the little people calendar (her older sister already had that one so we didn't need a duplicate) and this one is pretty cute. The Christmas train is a huge hit. Some of the pieces are kind of cheap though, the Christmas tree is flimsy cardboard and the star that is supposed to go on top is plastic. They will not stay together like in the photo (star makes it top heavy). I feel like for the money they could have offered a plastic tree, it would've made the set better. All of the pieces are a good size, I don't feel like anything has been a choking hazard. If you're stuck between the Little People calendar and this Vtech one I would recommend the Little People, unless your kid really really likes trains.

My one year old loves it!
We already have a couple of the Smart Point cars but no Smart Point locations, so getting this calendar with the Smart Point location built in was nice. I think my son's favorite pieces were the train and the ornaments (there are 2 of those). There are a couple doors that have somewhat disappointing items (there's a cardboard tree that will end up in the trash soon), but most of them are cute accessories you can use with almost any play set. I do wish that for the price, we got more than one SmartPoint vehicle. Otherwise, I highly recommend this set!

Fun, but some prizes are lame
It’s a pretty cool advent calendar. But some days are super disappointing and my daughter was frustrated. Lots of days are a traffic cone, a cardboard tree, one day as a cardboard Xmas card. Only day one is an interactive you.

3yo loves it!
We are only on the 3rd day, but so far my 3yo daughter loves her advent calendar. I guess it helps that she got the biggest and most exciting item on day 1 (which will probably be abandoned once she gets her Christmas toys..) and so far she is thrilled with opening up something new every day. The quality of the train is great and the fact that it signs Christmas carols is a nice plus. The box is a nice play set-up as well. It makes my other daughter's Paw Patrol advent calendar seem sad in comparison..they fight over this one every day after she opens up yet another disappointing surprise :(

Great Christmas idea!
Really cute idea for Christmas! Although, we were impatient and opened all of the boxes at once. Kinda hard to convince a 2 year old to wait! The train is adorable, sings Holiday tunes, and has an attachment car that can pull the daily surprises you get, behind it. It was a hit at Christmas. We love the V-tech trains! Comes with everything you see in the picture, although we're missing the little stand-up Christmas tree that also comes with it. Two Christmad tree ornaments also are included.
