German Watch with Japanese Automatic Movement TMI-NH35 A1434

This just got delivered, about a week ahead of schedule.I'll add to this review as time goes on. These are my initial impressions.- The band is nice leather.- The movement is exposed. First time I've ever had such a watch.- Arrives very-securely packaged.- Love that it's hackable.- The date complication is a bit different from most flieger watches. Minor niggle.So far, I'm loving it.

I am no expert but the watch that I purchased looks like an authentic Aeromatic 1912 flieger type B dial watch. The dial is very legible and the sweep second hand is very smooth. The leather strap is soft and thin enough so that it conforms to the shape of my wrist. The movement is hand-windable and hackable. It has a date complication and an exhibition case back. It was priced far below any other German watch that I could find. Shipped directly from MSU Schmidt GMBH in Wettenberg Germany. It was probably assembled in Asia but that does not bother me. I am not interested in paying 5 or 10 times more for German or even Swiss watches. Seiko and Citizen watches are Asian and they get the job done at a reasonable price. My Aeromatic watch runs about 8 seconds fast per day in a watch winder which is within my tolerance for a watch at this price. According to the included documentation the movement oscillates at 21,600 beats per hour. Packaged in a sturdy round metal box, it includes one 8 1/2 x 11 inch page of instructions that appears to be poorly translated from German to English, e.g., "If you do not carry the watch, these at a dry place keep". If you don't wear the watch every day, you might want to purchase a watch winder to keep it running since it is an automatic (self-winding) watch. Although I have not tested the power reserve, I believe that it should last about 40 hours after a full wind. Of course, if you wear it every day, it should continue running on its own. Since I do not wear it every day, I keep it in a Versa watch winder which can hold two watches and can wind in either or both directions. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Very well made homage to the famous WW2 German pilot watch. It looks the part plus it has a date indicator and an automatic movement from Seiko (and it’s a good one). It is as good or better quality than any other watch I’ve owned at a comparable price. You won’t find a better looking quality ‘type B’ pilot watch outside of Laco (I’d also like to point out that they often use Japanese movements as well, for anyone who feels passionately snobbish about such things)

I placed the order on Jan. 30, and it arrived today, Feb.13. well ahead of the estimated delivery time. It's a great watch, clean lines and very legible dial. The type B dial is my favourite of all aviator watch dials, and this does not disappoint. All in all a very handsome watch. Very pleased with the seller. The tracking number worked fine on the German post site. It had info all the way until it reached Canada. Great wrist watch. Keeps excellent time (this one gains about 3 seconds in 24 hours) & is hackable for those who MUST have the exact time down to the second. Large numbers as is needed in EMS with easy to see second hand. Luminous dial gets keeps getting brighter and lasts longer with more exposure to light. Sadly the color is still green. Has been soaked completely by a monsoon & still works with no leaks. Only downside is the tan band. It is VERY tan. On a black and silver watch, but I knew that going in. Great buy.

Purists may scoff at Aeromatics for being made up of Chinese parts, but even "Swiss-made" watches are largely made up of parts manufactured in China. This is a great looking and accurate watch in the German pilot style at an incredible price. The first one I bought was a birthday present for my brother. Liked it so much, I bought one for my collection and couldn't be happier.This is the third watch I've purchased from GER-WATCHES on Amazon and each time they have arrived in less than two weeks. Highly recommend the watch and the seller!

Great flieger style watch-- keeps great time-- seiko automatic movement.The watch band it comes with is a little light for my tastes-- replaced it with a dark brown nato leather band and it looks awesome!

This watch is very well made and good looking. A steal at this price. Great "B" dial aviation style watch. Highly recommended.
