Does it come with the screws to mount it?

Yes. Each O Shield back plate includes mounting hardware with screws and washers for the four standard mounting holes, so you can attach it to shoulder pads right away. Replacement hardware kits are also available if needed.

Will this fit my shoulder pads?

It fits most standard football shoulder pads. The plate uses the common four-hole rear mounting pattern on youth and adult pads, and the adjustable strap slots help you set a comfortable ride height over the lower back.

How do I choose between Youth and Adult?

Youth fits most players about 8-14 and pairs with youth shoulder pads. Adult is wider and taller for high school and above. If your pads are labeled youth, choose Youth. Players between sizes often choose Adult for more lower-back coverage.

What is it made of, and how tough is it?

The shell is polycarbonate backed with ventilated PU foam padding. Polycarbonate flexes under impact and returns to shape better than ABS plastic, while the foam cushions contact and helps the plate sit more comfortably against your back.

Can I wear it for practice as well as games, and how do I clean it?

Yes. It is made for contact football practices and games with compatible shoulder pads. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry fully. Do not machine wash or leave it in a hot car.
