I ordered this model kit as I am very familiar with Academy Models having worked in the retail hobby business for 20 years. Within the last 15 years Academy has released new model kits that are high in quality, good model kits to build, excellent detailed moldings with most kits including a small amount of detail photo-etched parts as an option. They also include a decal sheet(s) that provide the modeler with the option to build one of several versions with the proper markings.The quality of this kit high and provides the option of two different styles of the 90mm gun, markings and optional parts to build any of three M36s of the U.S. Army in the European Theatre of Operation during World War II. The modeler is also provided with the option to build an M36B2 of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) Army of the Korean War, or one of two M36B2s of the French Colonial Army in Indochina (Vietnam) of 1951 or 1953.The quality of the continuous length (rubber band) tracks are very good. The instructions are clear, concise and indicate the different optional parts for the variant that the modeler wishes to build.This is an excellent quality model that will provide the modeler many hours of enjoyable building and finishing at a very affordable price.

As I have not begun the building process on THIS Academy Model of the M36 I can only fall back on my construction of the Academy Models M10 kit I recently completed. In reality, the M36 is an upgrade to the M10 and by looking at the sprues, Academy has used the M10 kit as a starting point for the creation of their M36. Academy makes great model kits and I highly recommend anyone interested in modelling to try these builds. The kits are highly accurate, they go together well and they are very detailed, without being overwhelming,(as in, large numbers of small, intricate parts). For builders and collectors of scale armor I can't be more enthusiastic about Academy's offerings. I haven't found a problem with their products.
