Aftermarket Replacement Cushions Pads Liner for Bell Sweep Helmet with Extra Pads

So I was on a bike ride a couple of weeks ago when it started to rain. Water was rolling off my helmet and down my face. Some of it got in my mouth and it tasted salty, yuck! I decided that it was time for new helmet pads. I debated whether to get OEM pads or these aftermarket pads and decided to give these a try. Upon receiving them, I installed them in my Bell Sweep helmet. They took just a few seconds to install and fit perfectly. I went on a ride, thinking I'd evaluate the pads in the process. Well, I completely forgot about the new pads as I was riding so I guess my evaluation is that they feel good, not much difference from the old ones even though they are thicker. I've been on several rides since and they are doing just fine.

I have a old Giro helmet and the original pads dry rotted out. No pads available from Giro but these fit perfectly and were easy to install. Also much thicker than original pads. If you have thin original pads in your helmet, rip out and install these!

After wearing my Bell Sweep helmet for a few weeks, I noticed that the foam pads were really not that comfortable -- they have a seam that runs along the edges of each pad that was chaffing my head. These pads are thicker, cushier and much more comfortable than the original Bell pads and attach to the Velcro on the inside of the helmet. However, they have three cons:One: They don't last that long. Mine fell apart mid-season. They are actually made of two layers of foam, and the two layers eventually split apart. I tried gluing them back together, but that didn't last long either. I do ride a lot though, so maybe my expectations are too high, but I simply ordered another set.Two: Since they are thicker and cushier, that also means they make the helmet run a little hotter. I modified the larger piece by cutting it into three pieces and trimming the left and right pieces near center to allow for more airflow around the forehead. So basically I had a long left, long right, and small center piece.Three: They are overpriced for what they are: a few cheap pieces of foam. No reason why they should cost ten bucks.Despite those cons, these pads are the best way to make your Bell helmet more comfortable.

Great replacement pads and a great value, but what is really awesome is their customer service, responsiveness and integrity. I will gladly buy from them again and recommend them highly.

The pads on the inside of my husband's helmet were disintegrating, and he was planning on buying a new helmet. I suggested trying to get it repaired at a local bike shop but they didn't carry the parts, and he found the replacement kit on Amazon. The replacement pads worked out great so we're VERY happy, and it saved a lot of money.

I wanted to give this time before reviewing just to see if these were up to snuff. I've had them for 8 months and they're still going strong! They are a little thicker than the original pads, but the compress quite a bit while still offering quite a bit of cushion. I haven't had any issues with any of them peeling or coming apart. Overall great alternative to the over priced Bell ones!

After three months, these pads are holding up great. Very comfortable, not too hard or too soft. Appears to be on par with oem pads in quality of the foam and fabric facing. OEM pads were so thin my new Bell Sweep was contacting my skull at a few locations. These pads got the helmet off my head, now the helmet is comfortable.Bonus: Using thick pads creates additional space between the head and helmet. Circulation is improved, hot days are not so hot.

I bought because says replacement for Bell helmets, paid more than other items. Cheap thin foam, not enough to do a kids helmet. Waste of money Do Not Buy!
