Ascending Mount Zion: The Shepherd of Kedar Book 2 (The Shepherd of Kedar, 2) Paperback – June 27, 2014

Our family has been reading Lacy Andrew's most excellent 'The Shepherd of Kedar: Books 1 & 2 (Godly Shepherd Chronicles). These are excellent for family reading time. The stories are wonderfully engaging! The characters are beautifully developed, the history accurate and interesting, and the biblical-theology is superb. This is biblical-theology at its finest in the service of outstanding historical novels! We read a lot of books as a family, and these have recently jumped to the top of our list of favorites. I'm not exaggerating to say that they are better than 'Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ'.

If you love scripture, you will love the Godly Shepherd Chronicles. It makes the scriptures come alive as if you were there. I can't wait to read the next book.

So much history, tradition, and christian beliefs . Can't wait for the next one!

Good story. I learned some things about the Psalms I did not know.

Highly entertaining, informative, and inspiring. Makes you feel like you were there!

If you love the scriptures you will love the Godly Shepherd Chronicles. The two volumes are faithful to the Bible and make you feel like you are in ancient Jerusalem. Great reads for older children. They are faith builders - you will not be disappointed!
