You *might* want to vibrate your lips, and not just blow and expect the sound to come out. That's how it, along with ALL BRASS INSTRUMENTS, works. You failed at bugle lol do better my guy

My son loves it...
And that's all that matters. I don't know how well this would sound as an actual beginner trumpet for a student. BUT my son with autism who just loves to record horn noise, slow it down, rerecord, and make it sound like farts --is happy as can be!

Not a good trumpet for learning much of anything
While this trumpet can technically produce a sound, it is a pretty terrible instrument. It's not recommended at all as a real instrument at all. It's best hung on a wall as a decoration.- A professional trumpet player

Doesn’t work
The media could not be loaded. I was hoping this actually made a sound, and worked similarly to a real trumpet, but it’s literally just a plastic toy. It doesn’t make a sound.
