Okay, I ordered this item for a most unconventional use, and it works perfectly for that use. I have an older German federdecke (goose down comforter) that is minimally baffled. As a result, gravity slowly pulls the down over the sides and down over the foot of the bed. So a couple of times a year I need to hang the comforter up and tap the down back into the centre of the thing. I've been looking for a good beater to do this job for a while and one day while browsing through Amazon, I found a badminton racquet and the proverbial light bulb went on for me. I realised that it was very similar in effect as an old-fashioned carpet beater. I particularly like it because the flat striking surface distributes the force over a wider area and moves more of the down more quickly.How is it to play badminton with? I have no idea.

Easy to swing, low wind resistance, tight mesh and extended reach make this a good product, in my opinion.
