As someone formerly in LED development, I admit that I have a fairly high standard for my bulbs. Out of the box, these bulbs are clear and bright, good color quality, and look nice in my lamp. Good first impression. However they fail at arguably the most important aspect of an LED bulb - longevity. After only a year and three months in a heavily used lamp, several of the “filaments” are partially dark (likely shorted chips) and the whole bulb is flickering intermittently. This is a common problem when designing a bulb more for low cost than good performance - using the minimum LED chips to get the required brightness, the chips run too hot (especially in a Edison-style bulb with effectively no heat sink) and the chips can’t handle the strain for long. Keeping the rating at 2 stars since I knew these were low cost when I bought them, but was hoping for more than a little over a year for lifetime.

in less than two years, only 2 of 5 bulbs have retained their original brightness. Bulbs used less than 20 hours/week, occasionally with a dimmer. even without the dimmer, there can be some flickering that is random and intermittent.probably should avoid.

I always worry buying a new LED whether my dimmers will work, but these worked great with the Lutron Caseta dimmers. They have an interesting looking ramp-up and down appearance over a second or so, but no flicker or hum, and they look beautifully warm with very visible "filaments" when dimmed.

Update: seller contacted me and shipped out a replacement set quickly. Great customer service.Less than a year and 1 still works great, 1 is super dim and 1 well, as you can see is completely out.Shame too because they looked really nice when on.

Bought several of these on the recommendations here.They don't last. After 2 years, most are dead.Buy elsewhere!

Great bulbs! Only thing, is when it turns on, it takes a second to ramp up to full brightness which is weird. But I don't mind.Update March 2019 (purchased July 2017)After less than 2 years, they are flickering... Not sure what's going on

I loved these lightbulbs at first. I installed 2 bulbs on 2 island pendants. After having for 5 months one of the bulbs stayed dimmed while other bulb was normal. I replace dimmed bulb with the 3rd bulb in package and now this bulb flickers every one in awhile. So these led bulbs only last 6 months.

After about a year, this bulb flickers and goes dim.
