I loved the connectors. If I could have done 100% through the fuse box, I would have been so happy. I installed on a Toyota FJ Cruiser. The kit seemed easy enough to install until I started looking for a constant positive and convenient ground. I ended up tapping into my car stereo integration. The camera stays on while the car is parked and works as expected. Quality seems middle of the road and will likely not cause any problems down the line.

To do a permanent install you need a power cable and--with most newer vehicles--some kind of fuse tap to get power off your fuse block. This kit includes a generous length of wire, multiple fuse taps (for different sizes), a handy tool to pry trim or push wires behind it and my favorite part, a little box that will automatically shut off power to the camera if the battery voltage drops below a certain amount.This feature is a necessity if you intend to wire the camera to use the parking monitor feature which requires a constant 12V source. To prevent the battery from being drained while the vehicle is parked, this little device monitors the battery voltage and, when it gets low, stops the camera from drawing any additional current until the voltage goes back up.The quality of the parts is good--as I have experienced from other Wolfbox equipment I have bought. This is a good purchase in that I didn't have to make up any cables of my own nor did I have to find fuse taps, etc. My cam is installed permanently and cleanly thanks to this kit.

Ordered second one for second install. First install was great on the Palisade. EASY. Second I received was opened and the orange tuck tool was missing. Good thing the dash cam includes the same orange tuck tool. Otherwise I would give it a 5 star.

When just plugging it in seems too easy--how hard could it be to route a couple wires under your dash?The kit includes everything you need to do a "Permanent Wiring" install for your Wolfbox dashcam (G930). You only need to identify two fuses in the cabin fuse block--one always hot, the other switched. (It's also nice to know what they control--for example, my Ranger had several "spare" fuses that make it slightly easier.)Next you get to figure out how to route the wires. Since I installed it in the dash tray I had to run the wires to the middle of the dash (rear camera too). It only seemed impossible. A few hours later and it was all good. The nice thing is the kit includes generously long leads (I thought they were too long at first) so I was able to find a way.Once it was all in place it fired right up as soon as I plugged in the camera.Guessing the little box in the middle has something to do with sensing the battery voltage and preventing running it too low, and thinking this is probably the only part of this kit that might ever experience a problem. Still, I always unplug the camera when I park in the garage, just in case.

In general, this is a great product and easily the best way to power and use your dash camera.Installation & Setup LogisticsInstallation is not particularly easy, mainly when it comes to identifying the correct fuses to tap into. To be clear, this isn't a fault of the kit itself, but it does require some extra research and logistics on your end to figure out your specific vehicle's fuse box layout before you start. Note that after installation, the fuse box cover doesn't fit anymore.FunctionalityOnce installed, the functionality is excellent. The camera doesn't have to remain on all the time; you can wire the kit so that the camera automatically turns on and off directly as you start and stop the car.Pros & ConsPros: Hands-down the best way to run the camera; enables convenient automatic power-on/off with your car's ignition. (or constantly on if you prefer)Cons: Requires vehicle-specific research and testing to find the right fuses during installation.

自分で接続をしました。無知なのが原因かもしれませんが、説明書通り赤をアクセサリー、黄色を常時電源につなぎました。そうすると　キーを回していないのにWolfBoxがたちあがってしまったので、悩んだあげく反対につなぎました。すると一見正常に起動するようになったんですが、駐車監視モードがうごいてるようにおもえません。（設定でオンにしてます）何かアドバイスがあればお願いします。

This hardwire kit is excellent and feels very solid. The cable length is sufficient, but I ran into three issues:1. There’s a small control box (possibly for a chip) positioned along the cable, and it ends up too short on one side. The black part of the cable is shorter than expected, which made placement tricky. It would be much better if this box were closer to one end, so it could sit neatly near the fuse box during installation.2. The instruction booklet doesn’t clearly explain why two fuse connections are required—one that’s always powered and one that’s only powered when the car is on. After some trial and error, I realized the ACC cable isn’t meant to power the camera directly. Instead, it signals to the camera when the car starts, allowing it to exit parking mode and begin recording. This confused me at first, and I thought something was wrong with the kit. Be sure to connect both fuse wires or the system won’t function properly.3. I also wish the instructions had included recommendations for which fuses to tap. In my 2020 Toyota C-HR, I used the cigarette lighter fuse for ACC (only on when the car is running) and the dome light fuse for constant power.Hope this helps someone!
